Has anyone seen any advertised sales on graphics cards or other parts?
I am building a new desktop gaming rig and hoping for some great deals on components.

I wouldn’t go less then 2080....I got the 1080 the minute it came out and still a great computer however I can see how the 2080 would really push my games and VR to the next level. The 1080 still struggles a bit with 1440p 144 hz ...2080 would be a gr8 investment if you are a gamer.

Sounds cliche but it comes down to your budget and what games you want to play, also do you play in 720p, 1080p, 4K?

1080ti is the same performance as a 2080, and going to be cheaper.

Just no ray tracing, which at this point, is still really new.

Next gen will be better at it.

Looks like the best value at the moment is the RTX 2060...

It is $350 USD and performs better then the 1070ti and slightly lower then the 1080.

I have a AMD Firepro 9200 if anyone is interested - was 10K when I got it new 2017 direct from the manufacturer, didn't use it, selling for 3K with a possible free duo BJ ;)

dang girl! Your price is too low. Duo BJ video cards with 3K cache peaking at 60mhz per orgasm memory, are hard to find these days

GTA & Thereabouts...
I'm glad I got off this treadmill and went PS4.

After this Workstation Laptop is dead, I think I'll retire from Quadro cards as well.

Video cards will generally never get any major discounts because supply of older cards is overall on par with demand and supply on new cards is tight. With the new cards being phased in, we're really only in the opening phase of the transition so expect smaller volumes and more tweaked cards to be introduced as the roll-out continues. Which means inventory won't build up, and there will be no sudden price drops until the end of a production cycle.

As for buying used cards used for crypto, I wouldn't waste my money. Cards used for crypto are heavily abused and their lifespan will be short and performance won't be where you want it to be. It's like buying from Wish.com... sure you can save a few bucks but you're likely being scammed and your value for your time and money invested is going to be allot lower than if you just bought a good card from a source that isn't out to screw you.
