Hi working women of TO,

Please stop cluttering your ads with ornamental words.

Compare:

a) I am an alluring, sultry, bewitching, seductive, mysterious bonbon, a nymph of the floating world...

b) I am a loose 19 year old.

The second one really gets to the point and is also far more memorable.

Here
So you object to a woman expressing herself in an intelligent and thoughtful manor to advertise her business. I guess you think the ladies should just act like brainless bimbos to make their words easier for neanderthal customers to read.

Apparently the English language is the next to go onto the chopping block. Maybe we should just ask "SIRI".

I mean, I do find some descriptors eye-rolling, but did we really need a thread about it?

I must of missed some things along the road of life...if a woman takes time to find descriptive words of herself, she just might be someone you would want to spend some time with. I mean she would need to know what the words mean. Right or else it would be pointless. Give me an engaging intellectual woman any time...and also one that rocks you to your core.

Crikey....this world we inhabit should be fun. Fun. Fun. With or without daddy taking your T-Bird away. Seriously. So much awful shit to navigate, deal with in the real world (some of us more than others)....and yet here we can find a lovely woman who will share her most intimate self with us and maybe a smile and a laugh whilst we're at it. Uncomplicated. Simply resemble a half way human being, keep clean, and it all is pure, unmitigated fun. Sure, you gotta buy a ticket to get in, but a great way to spend money. Borderline therapeutic for me. And I truly adore my regulars.

So I say go ahead and flower up the parlance! Wear funny outfits! Tell silly stories and convey witty observations! Just have light, goofy fun. Thank you. As you were.
P.S. I once came out of shower w the atf wearing a replica roman legionnaire helmet and a towel like a toga. Just to make her laugh at something else besides my naked self....LOL...

I am not saying B is good, it's a bit too crass and low brow.
The A example is fake as fuck. A sign someone is just piling on the bullshit trying to sound fancy.
Putting on airs is not hot.
Also trying too hard is a thing. At least that is what the red pill PUA asshats are always saying women don't like.

I'll take honest and real for 200 Alex.

This from a person who in the real world at least gets shit on for using his big boy worlds, usually from females with pretty limited educations. If I am finding your text to be over the top, it's a problem.

Also anyone can toss some word salad in an add and claim to be this and that, but it's just smells, I mean it's just words. I read it as marketing copy.

yes, i totally agree that like 90% of escort ads sounds like the worst harlequin romance novel i'll never read.

Maybe not quite 90% but I agree that many are pretty laughable.

I am an alluring, sultry, bewitching, seductive, mysterious bonbon, a nymph of the floating world...

I hope that I'm not offending anyone but honestly, I would feel silly writing something like that.

Intelligent use of the language is perfectly fine. The problem in the example you cite is overkill. An advertisement stating the escort is alluring and seductive is far more effective than the overkill above. Further honestly is important if you are none of the above then perhaps your second statement would be better.
