Still a long way off. And it’s not too late for the CPC to figure out a way to “Patrick Brown” Scheer. Surely somebody inside the CPC has photos of Andrew’s backroom trysts with PM Harper? And maybe the rumours of Scheers’s gag ball and nipple clamp selfies are true?
Anyway, if the CPC were to rid itself of Scheer and put eg: Rona in his place - it would be a whole new ballgame. Scheer is the Liberals biggest asset.

Trudeau is the best choice, no question about that one. His environmental plan will win Quebec and BC, Ontarians will have a full year of DOFO to assess if they want to be led by Sheer Stupidity...Jagmeet will meet the end and Maxime Beriner will Bernier Sheer.
If Trudeau gets re-elected, and he might, his Liberal government will likely have the support of the liberal premiers in 3 major Canadian provinces.

The current political landscape is ripe for Jagmeet to shake things up. He is currently running 4th in a 3 person race so what does he got to lose by shaking off the rust of an old tired party and re-inventing itself as a strong voice of the center? He didn't do himself any favours of late by commenting that Brexit is the right thing to do. The English are stupid, Scheer is catching the contagion. It doesn't help him that Vasy Kapelos went on a dinner date with Maxime Bernier. The last time Scheer went on Power and Politics, he needed his new, well fed, Richmond Hill MP to protect him.

The economy is not doing very well with Trudeau at the helm. The pipeline he bought with our tax dollars is stalled while the oil industry out west is on its knees. We can't supply the markets that want our oil. The trade missions to India and China were a flop and the new NAFTA deal may not even be ratified in Congress. The only successful trade deal was with CETA and that was a Harper initiative. He hasn't honoured his promises to our Vets and he's lost control of our borders. While some vets and homeless Canadians sleep on the streets; he houses 'illegals' and mostly economic migrants in hotels like the Radisson. However, he will win big because the other parties also lack leadership and because he is a welcome contrast to President Trump. I should also add that he has nice hair and takes nice 'selfies'. Lol!

During the last election many experts said Sheer was a joke and all the heavyweights of The CPC sat out due Harper making it impossible to win. If Sheer gets swept, they will be proven wrong.
He's made HUGE strides in poverty reduction for one. He handled a very difficult and adversarial NAFTA renegotiation very successfully, he closed CETA and CPTPP USMC. The LNG Canada is the largest single foreign direct invetment in Canadian history, and he's come up with a reasonable way to price carbon, which fulfills our commitments to our global partners.
