This is a total sham and waste of taxpayers money. Have registered both the land line and cellphone. Still get the same amount of idiot telemarketers calling and bothering me. I've also logged 4 or 5 complaints to no avail.

I constantly getting calls from an insurance company working on behalf of Scotiabank they refuse to remove me from their calling lists.
You have call display, right?
There is no guarantee that it will eliminate the calls, just reduce them.
Telemarketing calls from persons or organizations with whom you have an existing business relationship are also exempt.
Now whether or not telemarketers from other countries will obey is another story.
Have some one fun with the person. Just ask them if they allow digits, what’s the up charge for Greek, SF2, etc. Oh and do it in some fake accent.
