Tommie Aaron and his brother Hank hold the MLB record for most home runs by brothers. (Some people thought it might have been the Dimaggio brothers.)

"Aaron hit a total of 13 major league home runs, with eight of them coming in his first year of 1962, but along with his brother's then Major League record 755, they hold the Major League record for the most career home runs between two brothers (768). The only other brother of a 500-home run man"

Its actually pretty good considering we suck.

Its Tampa who dont deserve a team, they are into the playoffs and still drawing 5,000 per game

BTW, I was posting stats of both win/loss records as well as attendance, not necessarily a correlation of the two. Basically two separate barometers of team/organizational performance.

I suppose the way I oriented the numbers made it seem I was mainly focussing on attendance which is not necessarily the case.

MLB should have a hard cap. (Yes, I know Shack will say this is a dumb idea.) The luxury tax does nothing to stop a "money is no object" team like the Yankees from trying to buy success.

MLB players union will never go along with it because it'll freeze inflation of contracts

Not just the players union but I suspect big market teams like the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, etc. will also not go along with it.

(Please, let's not have another debate on what is a "big market". )

There's a work stoppage coming for sure. They really fucked up in the last CBA by not addressing some of the problems.

For starters, teams are bringing kids up younger and younger so they can have them on the cheap. Now that the steroid era is over, guys are on the decline at age 32 and 33. So many guys are missing there big pay day because they are under team control in their prime. Especially pitchers who blow there arm out.

Second, the divide between rich and poor can't keep growing. While good for the Yankees and Red Sox, not good for the majority of the league. A healthy league has a competitive balance to it.

Some pitchers, especially if they are left handed and/or throw a knuckle ball seem to last a long time. I think I heard one of the Nationals pitcher (Rodney?) is 42 years old.

GTA & Thereabouts...
Stro-Show is saying he's rescuing her...

As for a salary cap, I can only see one coming to the MLB when you start to see teams go under and 30+ per team are sent packing... The main teams just make way too much money for themselves and the league.

But the bad news is that they had to DFA Ryan Dull to make room on the 40 man roster.
