Sorry, if I'm beating this issue to death.

Are both Bobby and Brett Hull in the NHL HOF?
Don't be sorry, I love sports trivia, yes Brett is in the HOF.

Gordie Howe and son Mark Howe are also in the HOF.

The Big Red Machine were my intro to baseball, Griffey Sr should be in the HOF. Maybe not being part of the Golden Group from the 60's hurt him.

Fact is the Reds didn't win the WS until Sr joined the team. He wasn't a straight up power hitter like Jr but he knew how to move baserunners. Both he and George Foster established themselves in 75, Sr would play long enough to play alongside Jr on the Mariners. Foster became the first +50 home run hitter since Roger Maris in 1979.

First of all, it was implied that this situation applied to baseball.

Secondly, your example is nothing like the one I pointed out. How are Bobby and Brett sons of 2 different HOF'ers and those sons played together on the same team?

Vlad Guerrero, the elder, and Craig Biggio are in the HOF and now their sons are playing on the same team. That is the first time that has happened in baseball.

Hey Shack, you're pretty smart.

Would you post a photo (any photo) in this thread. It has to be a still image and not a video. Thanks.

I am most definitely not a tech guy, but from what I can see the sports forum does not support posting photos unless it is a sig pic, of which many of us here are very thankful for Phil's contributions

Are the Jays heading for their worst season ever?
Possibly.

The young guys just aren't hitting yet. So that either means they're not good enough for the major league level, or it's just a matter of time before they adjust and start producing

...or they will somewhat improve and make the leap from hopeless to mediocrity.

Are the Jays heading for their worst season ever?
Highly unlikely.

The Blue Jays are playing .385 baseball, 20-32.
In 1979 their record was 53-109 .327

To finish with a worse record this year, Toronto would have to go 32-78 for the rest of the year, a .291 winning percentage.
At their present pace, the Blue Jays will win 62-63 games.

Thanks for the stats. Maybe not the worse ever but could be the worse in 40 years?

2/2, A single and a double for JR so far, 3rd inning only....hmmmmm cycle perhaps????

Has a rookie ever hit for the cycle????

Gurriele Jr hits 3rd HR since returning to ML and guns down a runner at 2nd base from LF

Cavan has a single and 1st career HR!

Core of team is coming around, can't wait til Bo gets called up!

Wonderful game today. If Biggio can turn into a superstar today will have been his breakout game.

FYI we are now in 4th year of the Shapiro/Atkins era

I don't follow MLB as closely as I use to.

1) How is the $300MM club doing so far? Harper, Trout and Machado.

2) If Jays finish last, do they get 1st draft choice?
