Vlady's strength is incredible. A few games ago, he hit a line drive laser beam that hit off just the top oft he wall in left field, resulting in a single only as it it was hit too hard. If he got under that ball just a little , IMO, it would have been the fastest HR ever.

I still remember that game where he hit a line drive so hard at the left-fielder (forgot his name) that the ball went 20 feet over his head because he misjudged it.

I think it was against Baltimore

Vladdie would look so much more meaner and intimidating if he dropped that spaghetti hair

Who's gonna stay up late to watch the Jays at Chavez Ravine vs. Kershaw?

An interesting bit of trivia. I always thought that Chavez Ravine was named after civil rights leader Cesar Chavez. With LA's staunch Democratic ways, it makes sense. I was wrong, it was named after Julian Chavez, a frontiersman and rancher. He helped establish the City of Los Angeles by buying up 1150 acres of land which became his ranch. Downtown LA is not far away. The land was bequeathed to the city by his son, it has remained mostly green with three State parks a Police Academy and a baseball stadium.

I'm 1-1 in my pitching futures, Jacob Waguespack continues to get stronger but Shawn Reid Foley has been demoted to the minors. Vladdy continues to make pitchers sweat - too bad he wasn't in the lineup for the rubber match against the Seahawks. He'll serve revenge with mashed potatoes at Safeco Field.

Waguespack just proved himself against arguably one of the best teams in MLB

Waguespack is unique in more ways than one. He's an oversized Jimmy Key and he's part of the Mississippi Delta Blues region of Southern Mississippi/Louisiana's Jewish community.

Rowdy Tellez is also Jewish but he's from California.

Ken Giles is on paternity leave, don't know if the child has been delivered yet. Another reason why he didn't want to get traded. Jordan Romano has been recalled in his absence.

Roberto Osuna has blown his sixth save opportunity.

Are you saying that having 6 blown saves against 30 saves which is 3rd best in the majors means he sucks and that the Jays made a good deal, which is what it sounds like to me? If that is not your point, I'd love to know what the point was.

Anthony Kay tonight in Buffalo:
6.2 IP
5 H
0 R
2 BB
5 K
94 pitches, 61 strikes

Remove Anthony Kay's 1st start with Buffalo and ...

28.2 IP
17 H
5 ER
16 BB
33 K

The only concern there is the BB, but his W.H.I.P. is 1.15, very solid.
And....he's not the "prize" of the deal.

Apart from Shapo/FAA in doubles action, no Canadians competing at Flushing Meadows today. I'll be watching Waguespack vs the Braves.

I switched over to watch The Bringer of Rain's return to TO. Sid Seixeiro said he's in the top 5 of the best Jays ever. They used Adele to commemorate him, I would have picked something more becoming of Josh.

Brayden Schnur lost today in straights to #23 Paire from France.

I would have figured Josh to be either a country music dude or death metal. Not Adele.

Still a great moment!

Sid is - of course - full of shit. Two legendary seasons do not put him in the "top 5 of all time" list.
