2017 was a career year for him. I think he trends closer to what he did last season which wasn't bad .350 OBP 25 HR 77 RBI. I think picking up the $8M option was a no brainer since he will still have value on the trade market.

My bad. I forgot about Kendris, maybe since he didn't play much all September. Trading KM would in fact be the obvious way out. Might be a salary-eater though.
