It's not wise to have men fight women, even if those men believe that they're women.

If trans women want to compete in the Olympics then the Olympic drug testers measure their estrogen levels and make sure they are same as a normal woman.

I suspect MMA does fuck all when it comes to any sort of drug or hormone testing.

That doesn't change their testosterone levels during when they went through puberty

Can't knock it till you try it.

If you're willing to invest in some shin protectors, and gloves, I'd be happy to spar with you.
Boxing or kickboxing, I enjoy both. ;)
Looking at that body I dont think my cup would be fitting comfortably. Yes I know I'm sexist but it's the truth.

I’ve never understood the attraction to MMA, I still believe at some point in the future someone will actually die in the ring on national tv. Then the shit will hit the fan. Until then those who enjoy the sport continue as you were. And no Kathleen I wouldn’t even think of sparring with you. Maybe play wrestling around on a bed might be more suitable for me.

Was it a fight with a weight class?

I'd be interested to know if there's still an advantage to the male if we are talking about two 155 pound people.

If a pro MMA fight, then sure it was in a specific weight class.

So providing they were the same weight, the born male no longer had an advantage in strength?
I'd have to agree with the Joe Rogan video above. The majority of your life as a male, isn't undone with just a few yrs of hormone therapy.

No matter how feminine a male carries himself, you guys are just physically stronger IMO.
If you said on average then I would agree.

E.g. I think avg female is 5' 6" and avg male is 5' 10" there would certainly be a reach, weight and strength advantage.

But if you had two people who were 155 pounds how big is the gap between a man and a woman?

Fallon is 5' 7" and 144. "She" lost to a 5' 6" 135 pound woman.

"Her" 5 wins ranged from quick first round KO to 3 round bouts.

She fights at a low level. The skill of those fighters can vary wildly.

"Everything happened in the first round and in the first two and a half minutes. It was messy, it was bloody and it’s not an easy viewing for everybody. Tamika suffered a concussion and a broken skull and Fallon Fox wasn’t stopping until Tamika Brents was finally TKO’d.

After the fight, Tamika Brents gave an interview and she said that she never felt such power and strength at any woman before she was fighting Fallon Fox."

I honestly won't waste one second of my life watching MMA. Other forms of martial arts are far more interesting, not that I watch much of those either.

But to think a person born a man then getting gender reassignment surgery, fighting a person born a female is an even playing field, is just ridiculous.

That's just the opinion of a fighter who got their ass kicked. The same has been said of male fighters by their opponents that fighter X,Y or Z is freakishly strong, fast etc.

A man and woman of same height and weight.... the woman has longer reach with her legs typically.

MMA has evolved quite a bit and it is very technical. As someone who boxes and does bjj I can attest to that. It's not fair to let this one incident sour the sport.
There was a trans track star.... I'm more against that than a mma fighter because in track there aren't weightclasses.

If there was a big difference then Fallon would be 6-0 with all 1st round KOs but that's not the case. He/She is 5-1 with finishes coming a variety of ways/rounds.

Tameka has a pro record of 2-3 and is 30 years old. I think she'd be in trouble taking on a woman with a 4-1 record. Or put another way a promising up and coming fighter vs an average over the hill fighter is likely to end with an injury.

Having said all that I'm surprised the fight promotions allow XY to fight XX. That's the way I would run things is to look at the chromosomes you were born with as which division you compete in.
