I get it. Use the words you want.
You could be the type that think the N word is okay to describe black people too.
I was simply pointing out the possible sexist nature of not calling the men he was including with the same label.
I never said this, I never said the use of said term in that context was OK, or expressed the desire to use said word in that or similar contexts. Maybe you should read before you respond.
"
Regardless of any value judgements these words may or may not have, they do have meanings. "
See this is me actually not making comment on what is appropriate or not. I make no comment on if the word is suitable or not. That wasn't the issue I was wanting to address.
Also as you sort of alluded to, he would be a slut, not a whore. They are not the same term although whore is often used incorrectly instead of slut which I figure reflects the negative attitude people have towards sex workers.
So if you should have issue with what he said, it should be with his lack of willingness to use <similar> terms to describe himself, not the same term.
However upon reviewing the original post, either slut, skank or whatever just wouldn't fit in, he wasn't really talking much about himself in a way that would need the use of labels.
To be clear, I am not all that comfortable with the term whore because it is a bit loaded again because of negative social views towards sex work which I don't share. Not just because I use the services either, I'd had no problems entering the field if I had what it takes and the money was right and be a prostidude. To paraphrase George Carlin's character from the Jay and Silent Bob movie "I'd take a shot in the mouth if it got me closer to my financial goals"
