These buttons would allow us to simply make a statement on a post without creating more unnecessary posts.
Just for the record, I "Like" the idea.

Yes, both a like and dislike button to get an overall consensus on a topic.
There are similar buttons on another escort site, it can be a good thing but often it’s used as a tool for the petty small minded people to attempt to piss others off.

No. Furthermore, I strongly advice any sane mature human being refrain from using any social activity indicator buttons similar to "Like/Dislike", "+/-" on any website or social network.

The reason explained in this boring scientific article: http://www.pnas.org/content/early/2013/03/06/1218772110

To make it short: by pressing social activity indicator, you are sharing an information about yourself. And this is actually expected. What is unexpected that YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT ARE YOU SHARING about yourself. Information you have just told the world may have nothing to do with the subject of the post you are liking. Example from the article:
...likes, such as “Britney Spears” or “Desperate Housewives” both moderately indicative of being gay.
For example, users who liked the “Hello Kitty” brand tended to be high on Openness and low on “Conscientiousness,” “Agreeableness,” and “Emotional Stability.” They were also more likely to have Democratic political views and to be of African-American origin, predominantly Christian, and slightly below average age.
One can argue that writing a text reaction to a post can share the same amount if not more information. While it is true, semantic analysis of a written post is much more complicated task that just counting likes on pre-determinated topics and building profiles of users on mass scales.

A 'Like' button available on advertizer's posts would be good as there is no option to Reply to those on this site. I guess the ultimate 'Like' on those would be a booking but a 'Like' may be a starter to something later.

I say no. Here’s the thing: like/dislike/upvote/downvote/whatever systems seem good on paper, and if used the way they’re intended can work. The problem is people. Take reddit, for example. For those of you unfamiliar, reddit uses a system where you can upvote or downvote posts which moves them up or down, making them more or less visible. Now, in theory, the system is meant to be used to bring good information to the forefront, and get rid of bad information. The problem is that it winds up being used as an “I agree/I don’t agree” system. As a result, subreddits tend to become echo chambers. The same popular opinions get upvoted over and over and if you post anything that goes against the popular opinion, you get downvotes into oblivion. This results in subreddits becoming extremely one-sided, as people feel bullied into not posting anything that goes against the grain. This is unhealthy to any sort of forum.

So no. Like button is a bad idea.

I don’t think a need a like or dislike, this isn’t social media, not a popularity contest. You are not gonna make more money for more likes.
If you wan to express you like for someone’s post or pics or whateever, say so with words.

On the other hand, I do think we need a Fuck Off button :)

A like button is good. It can help in some ways.

It can also deter posting. I think TERB has gotten along this far without it, no real need to make a change at this point.

I would use it however, if available

I have to agree with a lot of the people in this thread; look at all the shit it caused on another board.

Still, there are times I wish that TERB did have something like this.

Terb is part of social media.

The problem at other boards has nothing to do with like/dislike buttons.

Should have one that you can block someone you find annoying, like in FB. You just block that person.
