Terb member "JTX1985" booked a session on Wednesday October 10th. He requested 2.5hr session.. He was a no show for me.. Just thought I'd put it out there in case he tries this again with another provider.
Has any ladies seen this gent?

Was he in a car accident on his way over? Did he get struck by lightning? Did he OD on cocaine?
Truth is, anything could have happened, such are the wild dice of life as you roll them. If this is just one time, I suggest giving him the benefit of doubt. If he repeatedly does this, then yeah, definitely blacklist the guy a la Raymond Reddington.
My only point is not to jump to conclusions too quickly before knowing the whole story.

Agree with MC. How many times did the guy do this to you? Was it the first time? Did he respond back and apologize or say why he didn't show? I've only had 1 occasion where I had to cancel appointment in the last 30 min and she was cool with it. I also had a few instances where the reputable sps cancelled on me or maybe double booked (don't know), some got back to me and some hadn't. I shrugged it all of. People have emergencies. Such is life. Don't be so quick to throw a guy under the bus unless he has done it to you multiple times. Report back if does though. Maybe we will hear from him.
I'm with Charlotte on this. I've only cancelled at the last minute once, when I got into an auto accident on my way to meet the SP. I immediately texted her and later texted with a pic of my damaged vehicle. She graciously asked if I was okay (I was), and offered to reschedule the following week. It's about basic respect.

Scratching my head why he flaked on you. You offer great, professional service and have a good rep here.
He's a recent member and as yet, not a high poster so his rep isn't quite established. His posts seem to be articulate and balanced.
I think it's good to raise awareness on this forum and give this member an opportunity to respond.
Just a thought, maybe somebody used his name - did the number match the one he used for Alison?

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I will definitely check with Alison. I remember meeting him actually and he was polite ect.. I sent him a text when he was supposed to show and I never got a response.. I just find it very odd.. When he booked through text I kindly asked him to also send me a msg on here so I can confirm if it was really him or not..
Business is business and you'd for sure lose the client or company if you pulled that crap. Have the decency to man up and give her a chance to earn some money by telling her immediately that you can't make it, whatever the reason... because the time block set aside for that guy is now going to remain fallow. She likely turned away a client or two just for that dude as well, which makes it worse.and 2.5 hr so much worse than skipping out on a hhr.....
I actually did lose out on a regular client because of this .. I will from now on ask for a deposit if someone would like a 2 hr session.. Seems like I dodged a bullet so I am not as upset anymore.
Just weighing in this discussion, but in my opinion, I don't think asking for a deposit for a 2 hour session is the way to go. I myself am a 2-hour man (when the price is reasonable), but I will always walk away from providers that require a deposit. I've been scammed twice before by this very practice in my early days of hobbying, one of which I had to have my bank directly intervine to stop multiple fraudulent charges being made. Remember, deposits do leave a trail too back to the hobbyist.
I honestly don't know of a good solution to cases like this. It's definitely worth brainstorming and open for a positive debate/exchange of ideas so that both SPs and hobbyists are comfortable without violating each others' privacy.
Maybe a pinned thread could be opened for such a discussion. What's important is to keep the ideas healthy and positive in hope of reaching an agreed upon solution.
Anyways, just my opinion.

I am very disappointed in that client. He is indeed one of my clients and I did pm him to let him know that it is unacceptable to behave that way. Of course , he always booked me with etransfer so it is not like he ever ghosted me.
I also was his reference to book an other provider and she contacted me saying that he was rude on their texts so she decided to refuse him .. Unfortunately, sometimes clients behave differently with different providers. A client that’s been a great client to me , can also be an horrible experience for someone else. I wish he would of been as great with everybody else as he was with me but I can’t control that ..
Of course , I do support the etransfer protocol if the gentleman is not a Terb member , lyla member or doesn’t have any references , but at this point he had a Terb handle , he had me as a reference and Kim did her part of the job by screening him properly so it was no way to be able to predict the no show.
Unfortunately it is the sad part of our job to deal with some clients that are showing no respect and it is also our job to stay professional. Kim did the right thing by letting the other providers know on this board so it can prevent an other lady to be in that situation.
Of course this client is now on our blacklist ..
