The USA yearly deficit is heading to $2T, if interest rates continue to climb. Soon the entire tax revenue of USA will go to pay interset on the loans.
The Dane is correct, interest payments are beginning to bite hard. The problem is interest rates have to go up to avoid another financial meltdown, although this time Canada's personal debt is worse. The tax breaks and the tariffs are beginning to sink in, Trump will blame the Dems.

I've been putting more money into tangibles than the stock market. Pure gold Roman coins are becoming dearer and will continue to do so. Now that the Yankees are out, I can go shopping.

This kind of short term thinking is not good financial strategy. Don't try to catch every up and down in the market, nobody can do that. Invest for the long term, not short term.
You have future selling cars or stocks :peace:

It's all about weighting and anticipating not knee-jerk reactions. But the "advice" is always to buy never to sell. Brokers have the attention spans of squirrels.

Love the volatility.

Forget buy and hold in this market. Value investors have got killed - it’s been momo and growth stocks but I expect that to change and rates go up and bond yields put a halt on the equity rally.

Good time to cash out and wait for direction. Not the time to put money in equities other than for a quick scalp or to go short IMHO.

Made a nice profit on some retail stocks today. People scare so easily.

Now how did u know those stocks were not going to continue collapsing? You got lucky, stop fooling yourself . Nobody can market time. If it was so easy everyone would do it and as a result there would be no market bubbles.

Market timing is for fools.

I'm not fooling myself. Most of my clients are retailers, and as such I have greater insights into those stocks than casual investors or analysts. I trade what I know.
