William Nylander No Contract Play In KHL?

I couldn't agree more.

Opposing forwards are getting too many open looks on Andersen, this can't continue. I've said before, the Leafs need a D - man that can take out the garbage in the crease.

Matthews has been in contact with Nylander. If he's not listening to his Captain then it's best to trade him. Ideally I would trade him for Gudbranson, the Leafs have enough defensemen that can carry the puck.

Vancouver better add a 1st Round pick and another good young player.
Gudbranson is not very good.

Why would Minnesota want to trade Dumba for Nylander? I can understand the Leafs getting excited about a deal like that!

Do you really think Nylander is the answer? Why would you give up a good young D man to get a guy that might get you 20 goals a year amd you have to pay him as much as 8 million per year?

Nylander is no where as good as he thinks he is or the Toronto media has made suggested he is. Toronto is doing fine without him and won't get better if he shows up. Entertain offers, and if someone wants to give you a decent Dman, or a high draft pick, take it. If not let him stay in Sweden

Or Talyor Hall for Larsson. Hart Trophy winner. That's gotta rank up there as one of the worse trades in the history of the nhl

I think it's a very good move. He's showing Nylander that he values his importance to the team and provide a face saving step for him to accept the Leafs' offer. He'll probably promise that Nylander will get his spot back with Matthews as motivation.

Kapanan has proven he can play with Matthews and with the new confidence he will do well with Kadri as a checking line. He can always be moved back to Matthews' line if and when Nylander is traded for a d man. He may not have as many points and that's a good thing for the Leafs when they try to sign him to an extension.

That's not a good move! Kapanen is playing his heart out with Matthews, Nylander shouldn't get preferential treatment for pouting, it sends a bad message to the team. You don't destroy a player's confidence when he's on a roll, fortunately Babcock knows better.

You may think he's pouting with his contract negotiations, but I doubt very much the players will have any hard feelings towards him for what he's doing. Marner and Matthews will be in the same boat next year and all players support each other when it comes down to contract negotiations with the clubs.

All the RFA's signed no problem. Hyman, Brown, Kadri, Reilly, you name it. With Nylander big problems and all because of Tavaras. Imagine Leafs without Tavaras. Huge difference.

I have to stand up for old Gordo. The coach at the time, John Brophy, went straight to owner Harold Ballard to tell him he wanted the deal made. Ballard supported Brophy and made Stellick complete the deal.

I was actually in Omsk back in 1990. Fortunately it was on the Trans-Siberian Railway from Beijing to Moscow. From the looks of that video, I did not miss much by not getting off the train.

I'm not sure if it still is.

Omsk was the location of the Ballistic Missiles Central Control, it was impossible to get to and no one wanted to go there.
