I don't really see any new information there. I mean, the upshot is that if they're miles apart on a long term deal they have to look at a bridge deal or a trade, and negotiating a bridge deal does nothing to solve the basic issue.

In the beginning Dubas had committed to keeping Matthews/Marner/Nylander/Tavares together and reality bites; so good luck to Dubas in July - it's a good thing for this season that they're overwhelming Stanley Cup favourites again.

Get Nylander out of town. Trouba and 1st round draft pick from the Jets.

Trouba is deserving of #1 RH defenseman money but they won't be able to offer it because of Buff.
