OK. The post season is just around the corner... let the prognostications begin!

I will start it off.

I don't think there is another team in the AL that can stop the Red Sox, but their bullpen is their weakness. I don't think it matters if they play the Yankees or the Athletics for the Divisional.

However, the Yankees and the Red Sox are just finishing a series against each other today, and play each other again for their final 3 games of the season. So many games against each other over a short period of time tends to even things up...

I think the Astros will demolish the Indians.

The Red Sox vs the Astros could be very close. But I still pick the Bosox.

There is no team in the NL that has a chance against the Bosox. If it is the Astros for the AL, then the Cubs could make it interesting....

The WS Trophy is the Bosox's to lose...

But anything can, and often does, happen in a short series. Especially between the Red Sox and the Yankees...

AL teams having to play NL rules for 3 or 4 games is a bit of a mitigating factor.

Boston looks very strong. what are Vegas odds?

Brewers are my dark horse pick, they have a scary offence, remind me of the 92 and 93 Jays.

I thought of putting 5 grand each on the bosox and Astros. Payout would be 20g for each. I don't see anyone beating them. But saying it and doing it are much different.

Houston is the best team in baseball. I would like to see the Brewers in the series - showing mid market teams can make it - and to tick off the networks (they want Cubs or Dodgers)

Donaldson and Edwin get their WS ring. Thanks Shiparo.
He must be hoping to hell that they don't win. Whatever his rep is, if the Indians win, it will get worse.

I am curious. I hate the guy but is there a general consensus in the city (fans and media) as to how he has done and his game plan going forward? Or is it a mixed bag of opinions?

In the social media world Jays fans hate Shiparo and Atkins. But I think the more knowledable Jays fans know they are rebuilding and they are trying the fill the prospect pool.

So you are saying that people who use social media are less knowledgeable. Or that knowledgeable fans do not use social media.

As Arte Johnson used to say in his German accent, "Very interesting but...".

The knowledgeable Jays fans use social media but don't speak out against against Shiparo and Atkins, there rather silent on the topic or just go with the flow at least that's what I find.

Yesterday I was looking forward to watching the one game tie breakers but in the wisdom of baseball they decided to play the games while the majority of North America is at work. What a stupid move. A couple of months from now the brain trust of MLB will gather and wonder why fan interest is down.

Wild Card Round:

* Taking the Cubs over the Rockies. Freeland vs. Lester. Both pitchers have been hot as of late. I will give the nod to the Cubs due to Lester's post season experience and home field.

* The starting pitchers have not been announced yet...

Cheering for a Brewers Indians World Series. But likely going to be a Dodgers vs Indians/Red Sox series.

What the hell is it with Price? That is one heck of a mental block he has with his post season performance.

"Baseball is 90 per cent mental. The other half is physical"
