Brewers advance in dominating fashion. Mind you, the next round is a whole new ball game (so to speak).
OK... this is shaping up to be a great ALCS. Better than what I think the WS will be like.
Two strong teams. Both appear to have heated up over their past 10 to 15 games. Both have momentum. Both have good managers. A bunch of exciting hitters on both sides. A rematch of the 20017 ALDS...
I predicted Red Sox over Astros 3 weeks ago, but I am not so sure anymore. I still think Osuna is the best closer in the business. The Red Sox bullpen has performed better than anticipated. Kimbrell is vulnerable. Price is a mystery. The odds makers have picked the Astros to repeat...
Astros and Brewers? Red Sox and Dodgers? Imagine, if you will, Osuna closing out the WS?
This is when I get excited over baseball! I don't care who wins. I am going to enjoy whatever happens... one of the benefits of not having a dog in this fight! :thumb:

They are in a do or die situation and that first batter homerun doesn't help.I had not followed the Brewers very closely during the season...
They seem a much better, stronger team than I had anticipated. They could easily be up 3-0 against the Dodgers... but I will wait for the Fat Lady!

Why ...they're part of our league? LOL I thought we're supposed to hate the Yankees.Whoever wins tonight, hope they beat the wheels off of boston.
Boston has been playing some good ball lately. All facets of their game. If Price has got the monkey off of his back, that is a game changer.Whoever wins tonight, hope they beat the wheels off of boston.
LOL!And by lately you mean since opening day.
I hate 'em, but they have been a juggernaut all year.
https://www.thestar.com/sports/blue...lue-jays-headed-for-dramatic-payroll-cut.htmlLOL!
The Jays have as big (if not a bigger) market than the Red Sox and can pay similar money. It all comes down to the management and scouting.
I think that holds true every WS.The lack of a designated hitter in Dodger Stadium games will hurt the Red Sox more than the Dodgers.

They can pay whatever they want. A winning team generates revenue. They can't pay similar money. The Red Sox have private owners who don't care about losing a bit of money. More of a hobby for them. The Jays are owned by a company that is owned by shareholders. It's all about money.
Yeah and they spend that kind of money and the team is a bust? San Fran had the second highest payroll in baseball this and they sucked ass. The Nationals had the 5th highest and ended up 2 games over .500 missing the playoffs. They can pay whatever they want. A winning team generates revenue.
They are saving money by reducing payroll and losing 900,000 fan$$$. Does that make the shareholders happy? Save $40M in payroll and lose $100M in revenue
At the risk of repeating myself, if they at least make some signings they maintain fan interest (or not lose as much of it), and get better attendance and viewership. They would also show the fans that they care about giving us some value for our entertainment dollar (aren't they raising prices?). Right now, management is reviled in the city. They need to do some PR work.Yeah and they spend that kind of money and the team is a bust?
