I'm probably the only person on the board dead against that one. I still shake my head at this soon to become a reality.

Its addictive, a health risk and if people though smart phones were toxic for dumbing down a Country, fasten your belts. Driving alone these days is becoming a nightmare,
I can't imagine how this would make it any better.

Everyone I know is all for this, but I just dread this happening.
Don't worry Kathleen I am against legalization of weed to.Dead set against it.

The pot head Prime Minister.

That is how Trudeau will be remembered in history, because that is the only piece of legislation he passed that anyone will remember.

Dumb DOFO loves this bit of legislation as he used to once upon a time sell this illegal stuff.
Now you will see all the right wingers coming to his defence!!

Trudeau has been a huge disappointment. But even so he has been a breath of fresh air after the dark days of the Harper government.

These are 27 things that Trudeau has done for the Canadians besides adding hundreds of thousands of full time jobs and brought the unemployment rate down. Canadian GDP growth rate has been among the highest among the developed nations.

Important to this board, is that he has not strictly implemented Bill C-36, something that Harper was intending to do if he got re-elected. Thankfully Canadians saved this Board by electing Trudeau!!

Four more years to go under Trudeau after the 2019 elections.

I will never underestimate the Liberals but during Trudeau's tenure the provincial liberals have lost B.C., Ontario and maybe soon Quebec. (Immigration, illegal immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers are a major issue in the current Quebec election.) Trudeau needs Quebec but some or many votes could go to Maxime Bernier in 2019.

I'm trying hard but can't think of one thing Trudeau did to improve my life. However, I do remember he increased my taxes (not nice).

This one's a dandy...Trudeau is toast.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's controversial trip to India in February was even more expensive than first reported.
Documents tabled in the House of Commons Monday reveal that the nine-day trip cost Canadian taxpayers $1.66 million — roughly 10 per cent higher than the $1.5 million the government reported in June.

The Liberals are on shaky ground (because of own goals) but then they will be running against Scheer. At this stage, if I had to make a prediction - I'd say minority Liberal Govt. CPC would then, hopefully, dump Scheer and have another convention where the lingering stench of Harper wouldn't scare good candidates away. Keep in mind, Harper himself would probably make a return to the party - but I believe that would be a huge mistake for the CPC. Harper's got an fragile ego - the size of Alberta, so he likely would want to validate himself with a return. The only people with a more inflated view of his legacy besides himself are his supporters - but they're not enough to win another majority.

Of course, it's early days - so anything can happen. Eg: If they successfully negotiate a conclusion to NAFTA - that makes it easier for them. If they don't, then they're an easy target from the CPC (who would have bent over for Trump months ago and declared it a "victory").

Not too early to say that a Scheer majority is a pipe dream.

essguy pure speculation on your part that CPC would have bent months ago. Dealing with Trump is extremely difficult and who knows if things would of been any different with a different party in charge. Hopefully we get a good NAFTA agreement for Canada.

There's a lot of water to flow under the bridge before the next election.

I believe the Federal Tories are now likely to use the "notwithstanding" clause to over turn R v Morgentaler and to recriminalize abortion if elected with a majority. Ford's current horseshit is just a dry run to see if the "notwithstanding clause" will fly and how hard the judges bite back before trying it federally on core human rights issues.

Of course it's speculation, but not without historical precedent as well as weighing various CPC rhetoric over the course of these negotiations. The CPC are great at opposition, not so great at governing, we saw this during 10 years of Harper - tough talk but when push came to shove, cave and hide in a closet. The Liberals have scored many own goals - and that's pretty much the CPC's best hope, until they get rid of Scheer and get a real leader who is not named Harper.

Alcohol is far more dangerous than verdura. When you drive drunk, your reflexes and perception are compromised. You may be running red lights and don't even know it. You may hit a pedestrian and not even comprehend what just happened. The next morning, after you've sobered, you probably have no idea how that bump on your fender got there. Pot will affect your perception but differently, you'll know a red light when you see one.Pot does affect reflexes but not to the extent that alcohol does. Withdrawal for alcohol addiction can lead to seizures, people kicking heroin don't get seizures.

Trudeau's carbon tax is in deep goo. Strong opposition by Saskatchewan, Alberta and Ontario.

Trans Mountain Pipeline is sidetracked. Not good for Alberta and Canada as this limits us to the U.S. as the only customer which means our oil is being sold at a deep discount to market price.
