by the way the team seems to really like Chris Boucher in the 905. I have a hard time seeing him playing in the big show, but time will tell. All those stats in the 905 don't mean that much. Powell is good, but in the 905 he was scoring 35points/game. Boucher has a more specific set of skills. Apparently he can indeed hit the 3 on a regular basis, and we figured he could be a shot blocker/rim protector and a rebounder. Maybe they can get him ready for next year?

Boucher is a monster but he's only 200 lbs soaking wet! While skilled, energetic and lotsa BBall iq he needs to bulk up to handle 82 game NBA style. Mobile enough to give cover both 4 and 5's but needs some size to not get moved out. He's the epitome of the new big man except for the body. If he can do it, he could be the Pascal for 2019.

And welcome back Casey, and good luck with the Pistons you'll need it after we bounce you back to Motor City! Let's go Raps!

Wow what a start.

I think the J Bulter trade was bad for 76ers. They should have stuck to the "process"

To me they lost depth.

The raptors have an interesting problem..... how do you distribute minutes? You have a bench that can lift the team which means you can use both KL's sparingly so that they are fresh in the post season.

Here's a question.... do you think any team in California (other than the warriors) would be attractive to Kawhi (aside from location)?

I don't follow basketball but I saw Dwane Casey interviewed on TV. What a class act. Had only good things to say about Toronto. A refreshing change from the constantly moaning and bitching Desmond Cole.

They lost good D in Covington he was a steals guy. Saric was inconsistent. However, I still think they got better Butler is an impact player.

other than his little Jab that he sees only the same plays being run in Toronto since he left. :)

otherwise maybe it was nice that Casey won that game. Give him something to smile about while we're still 1st place in the league overall, tied with Golden State. If we can win 80% of our games that is more than sufficient to win a playoff series! This year could still see continued growth for Siakam and OG, as well as Delon Wright. Just in time for April 2019!!

I don't follow basketball but it seems Leonard sits out every 3rd or 4th game to "rest". Is he an old guy who can't play every game and needs a "rest" break?

Last year he was injured and played in 9 games. This year the Raps, to date, have opted not to play him in back to back games. Believe it is just precautionary to make sure there is no reoccurrence of last year's problems.

Well it looks like there may be trouble in Golden State, but I'm sure they get their act together by the playoffs. Injuries are taking its toll on everyone. I think if Lowry can't start this week, Fred and Delon can probably handle the job, considering Lowry has been off on his shooting anyway.
Milwaukee seems like the current threat to catch us overall, but they're heading out west now to play Denver, Portland, Phoenix and San Antonio, while we've got sub 500 eastern conference teams for the next week. Its gotten a little ugly for everyone in the last week, so its nice to check the standings and see we still have lone position in 1st overall.......for now.

I think this is the first sign of a chance that there's a problem in GS.

As a radio guy pointed out the absence of Steph Curry on Wins and Losses is significant. SC is probably a more important piece than KD.

But if the whole starting 5 is healthy come playoff time look out!

In addition to being precautionary I believe there is a political angle as well. KL is here with the Raps for a minimum of one year. At which point he can test the free agency market.

I think the Raps are doing everything they can to be accommodating so that come free agency he will look favourably on the team that treated him well. Unlike in San Antonio where the team turned on him and traded him to an unwanted location (Toronto).

Even though Kawhi was the key player in the trade I have to say Danny Green is a welcome addition to the team.

No doubt!!!! He is a class person with leadership skills as well as a skilled player offensively and defensively.

Rumor has it OG for Bradley Beal... Should the raps make that trade?
No. Yes, Beal is top shelf, but not a two way player. OG has limitless potential, and with uncertainty for the future ( FA's Green and Leonard, etc.,) he's a piece I can't let go right now. If future was set, I'd do it for the immediate upgrade but without certainty,no. Plus OG is not far off from Beal's right now. 12-4, short bench again, let's go Raps!

Fuck NO! What gfe said plus OG's salary is controllable for a couple more years! OG will just get better and Beal has pretty much peaked. Chemistry on the Raps seems pretty good, unless someone wants to give a superstar for say Miles leave things as they are!

how can that trade possibly work anyway? don't dollars have to match?

OG has been missing a lot of games. the personal reasons, don't matter, but he is off injured now again. He doesn't look like he'd be injury prone, but who knows. Beal would definitely give us 4th quarter closing power. Its hard to see him in Toronto though. There seems to be too much of a rivalry between us, unless Washington is like that with everyone.

Toronto continues to take care of business, but Milwaukee is on a tear. We went out west and yes we went undefeated....but against phoenix, LA, Utah, and Sacramento(bottom dwellers). Milwaukee is out there now beating Denver and now No 1 Portland, and scored 143 points. They're getting scary.
