The mobsters in Woodbridge are nothing compared to these guys. By the way anyone watch the series about Vito Rizzuto on TV called Bad Blood? I want to check it out.

New York City’s trigger-happy underworld is on edge with the return of Mob brother No. 1, Gene Gotti.

The 71-year-old gangster was recently released after serving 29 years in prison on a heroin trafficking beef.

The younger brother of famed ‘Teflon Don’ John Gotti, Gene Gotti returns to the streets an older, balding man.

Now, gangland observers fear Gotti’s return could trigger turmoil among the city’s Five Families and what it means to their vice empires.

“The Gambinos are running smoothly — gambling, pills, construction unions, etc.,” one law enforcement official told the New York Post. “The last thing they want is someone to put them back in papers and on TV.”

Until John Gotti took the reigns of the Gambino crime family following the brazen assassination of Mob boss Paul “Big Paulie” Castellano in 1985, mobsters liked things on the down low.

But Gotti was a new kind of gangster who reveled in the publicity given to him by Gotham’s voracious tabloids.
He died in prison in 2002 and sources told the Post that since Gene Gotti was a made man and a Mob captain, the family will have to make a role for him.

The source told The Post: “(John Gotti’s penchant for publicity) set them back 30 years. They don’t want no flashy leaders, no weekly social-club meetings.”

So far it’s unclear whether the elderly mobster will demand a return to the fold and his lucrative loan-sharking schemes. Or if he will resume his role as “capo.”

“Everyone hopes he will be low-key and just make a living, but that is very un-Gotti-like,” another source told the tabloid.

Here
Wrong, the guys in Montreal took their orders from NY. The turmoil in Montreal were due to a power struggle by extensions of the 5 families fighting over drug territory. There was also an issue with the bike gangs.

The guy is 71... he has been in prison for almost 30 years. He should just simply live a quiet normal life til he dies...

In any case lots of shit happen in 30 years, pretty sure the peoples in powers now won't step down just for some old man who got out of jail

At 71 all he can wish now is to die a peaceful natural death,

he is now free, but vulnerable to old vendettas against him or his family

Yes Hamilton has at least 3 mob families, just last week a real estate agent with mob ties was gunned down in front of his house.

Wrong, the Montreal mafia is its own family independent of the US families, with closer ties to Italy.

Wrong, the mobster in Woodbridge are more powerful than most people know. They are also way smarter than their US counterparts, that's for both the Quebec and Ontario branches.

They are really incredible business individuals that unfortunately use all their talents on criminal enterprises. Had the school system been design with individuals like them in mind, they be among the best CEOs and managers in the world, working in legitimate businesses.

Have met a few of them in my life, and they have always been friendly and polite, but I always knew not to fuck with them. They are nothing like Hollywood paints them.

They would never be CEOs. When you do not pay taxes and run scams, that is an order of magnitude easier than making a honest living.

I wonder what started this war, they used to play nice with each other. The intended target was not Barberi. Then you had the retaliatory hit on the couple from Etobicok.

This one is far from over and our country will be greatly affected if the violence continues. For years Colombian and Mexican police have told their counter parts here, that Canada was in danger of going down the same road.

John Gotti and his media frenzy is the stereotype the typical mobster. Canadian organized crime figures are way better than what they've got down there.

Let them kill each other. Seems like a great idea. Same with biker gangs. Police should orchestrate the emnity so the killing never stops. Bad guy dies and the cops do not investigate.

TH&B didn't always stand for the Railway. Toronto Hamilton Buffalo as the initials stand for . It was also the Mafia Triangle in Southern Ontario Western NY.
