I doubt weed-infused drinks will happen. Some dipshit will start complaining that they’re trying to market to children by making drug-infused sodas, all the idiot soccer moms on Facebook will raise a big stink, and the government will ban them. They already banned the sale of most edibles in Nevada for the same reason.

Weed infused beverages will definitely happen. 100%. One of the driving forces behind the crazy market action is the fear of being left out - and companies like Molson Coors already have entered into partnerships. Liquour and beer consumption will likely drop as legalization of weed goes forward so they are exploring infused beverages as a new segment and investments in Marijuana producers as a hedge. The market is way ahead of itself but you cannot ignore the trend at least as we head into October when we might get some reality checks. Not all the companies will survive, some will fail, others will merge. Bigger US institutions have also been picking up some of the US listed companies like Tillray (IPO in June on Nasdaq at $!7, traded above $100 earlier this month - currently $120). Insane price action for a relatively small, Canadian medical marijuana producer. But the driving force is the US market, which will inevitably follow Canada - maybe just years down the road.

We’ll see, I guess. Seems like there’s some very significant backing. On the other hand, there was big money behind the newly-legal cannabis market in Nevada and they took a huge hit with the edibles ban, so I guess you never know.

Longer term - it's inevitable that it will be legalized in a broader sense south of the border and people will look back and have similar feelings to Prohibition. When you have ex-politicians like former GOP Speaker of the House, John Boehner, lobbying for a marijuana company (Acreage Holdings) and legalization - you know it's only a matter of when... not if.

(And try to tell me that Republicans like Ted Cruz aren't long-time users. Pence? Of course. Stoned all the time... when he refers to "Mother", he's referencing a joint not his wife. Mitch McConnell? - he's like a grown up Jeff Spicoli - stoned all the time - check out his pupils - always dilated.... It's how they all deal with being enablers for the President!! Eg: Just look at Paul Ryan in this picture: From that day when he kept banging his head with the gavel shouting "listen to my head man... hahahahahahaha.... that's my fucking head making that noise..... hahahahahahaha!!!!!")

I take cannabis medicinally for IBS and abdominal pain. I can say that for me, at least, it’s been extremely effective for my nausea and other gastrointestinal symptoms. I’d agree that it’s likely something else that’s affecting them or possibly an allergy or other weird physiological intolerance.

Not sure why they’d add CBD to drinks. Not sure what the appeal’d be. CBD isn’t psychoactive. It’s used medicinally for pain relief and gastrointestinal issues. I don’t see why people would want to use it recreationally, it doesn’t really do much aside from its medicinal effects.

That's the whole point. Get people to drink more sugar-water because, "it's good for you."

CBD also relaxes you and calms your nerves. My only question is why mix it with Coca Cola which is garbage and bad for your health?

If you vomit after you smoke weed, you have probably smoked too much weed or the weed is bad/contaminated/expired.

So nothing concrete announced - just boilerplate there is no agreement - they are in talks with many companies... and that the company would release any material information if anything is deemed material. So you could take this two ways - they are in talks and somebody leaked, or somebody wanted to set off a short covering rally so started a rumour. All signs of a crazy market...

Well, CBD isn’t exactly “good for you”. Like, if you’re in perfect health, it won’t make you healthier. It’s not a vitamin or anything. It’s not like all these drinks that add açai, or ginseng, or some other “superfood” additive. CBD is medicine. It’d be more akin to adding some Tylenol to your drink.

I also wouldn’t say that CBD relaxes you. I take CBD oil twice a day, it helps my gastrointestinal symptoms and muscle pain, it does nothing for my anxiety or insomnia. I use a high THC indica for sleep or if I need to relax.
