I must have miss understood what you said.

However, tons of guys don't want to talk on the phone. Contrary to what you may think.
I agree. I have never, and will never, make a voice phone call to make a booking.

I know this is sensitive topic but to filter fake bookings, I am requesting nominal deposit before booking appointments. I got couple of pisitive response and there were few flakes who got offended.
Any suggestions? Personally I don’t like it but lately I have seen uptick in fake bookings.

Hello Gorgeous,

To answer to your thread, I require a security deposit of 25% for bookings. Why? Because I think it's safer for me and also, I am sure they will show up and if they don't well... at least, I haven't wasted my time for nothing (almost nothing lol). Also, I have a website, my face is all over the internet, I have tones of reviews so they know I am real, and I'm hosting at my place! So.... Yes, and it's not even an option but OF COURSE, some guys don't want to do it because bla bla bla... (I hate when they think I would rippe them off for $75 hahaha! Like REALLY?!..) Anyways, I think it is safer because when you recieve their transfer you have their full name. IF THEY DON'T WANT TO do it because of that... I also accept PAYPAL which you can only use another email and name and send me the money anyways. Quite simple and way more safer for everybody.

But that's my opinion, that's how I work. Some dont like it and it's fine. Sometimes I book a room downtown for a week-end and i do not require an etransfer on that week-end ONLY. For those who don't want to share their information (which I find too suspiscious anyways).

Have a great day Bella <3

Hey Beautiful Désiree

As much as I respect your opinion, what exactly you find suspicious in people not wanting to share their personal info?
Maybe your face is truly all over your website but this hobby world is still part of the dark side of the society (like it or not)... Anytime, LE can get in the middle of a session and put in trouble everybody involve in it. E-transfers are an easy link to people real life. Sorry, Paypal as well. Although some people don't care, the vast majority of people do care!!!!

I really understand the fake booking problem, here in Ottawa, it does suck and I think that those who are doing that are a bunch of idiots, but I'm sure there is other way to confirm if a client is legit or not.

I wish but it's ok... I will not fall in love
Gosh, you're beautiful!
This thread has been very educational !

To respond to the thread ,

I do get the "No Show" problem in Ottawa and it is indeed very irritating .. As well as time waster that ask for 10000 questions when the answers already are on your advertisement and the endless texting to ask about every details of your session when you have tons of reviews that are already describing your sessions in every little details ..

I also get the client point of view when it comes to privacy and to scams.. It is indeed a lot of scams in Ottawa so it is normal that they get nervous to send money for a first time appointment.

So,

I find that offering various options help ..

Option one : I am asking my client to provide a Terb or Rosie Board handle and I also ask him to pm me from that handle so I can verify that it is really him.
( I can read about him and see if he is a good client and if he have seen well established providers in Ottawa..)

Option Two : I am asking for him to provide a reference from a well established provider in Ottawa. She must have a website so I can confirm that the number and informations he's giving me are matching the ones on her website.

The last option will be a 50$ deposit by Interac transfer.. ( I am only asking for 50$ because time wasters will not transfer any money at all so 50$ is enough to avoid them and to feel safe.) If they cancel 24h prior to their booking I will apply it as a credit on their next session.. ( Sometime life happen)

So the client have options to avoid interact transfer and to remain low profile if he prefers keeping his real name for himself.

That is the best way I found so far to accommodate my clients..
If you have more suggestion that could fit my needs and my clients needs at the same time , feel free to share it ;)

Kisses
Ali

This may be a silly question, but... don't text messages also leave a paper trail? In that phone companies probably keep logs of them, which law enforcement can get their hands on?

Not a problem if you are using a burner phone or a Texting app.

Do what makes most sense to your business. You will have to weigh the pros and cons and you wont know until you try. Obviously you will lose some clients because of it but if it prevents time wasters and saves you money in the end then it might be worth it

Just so everyone knows. I've mentioned this before but I have a CIBC account and I am able to change the name on it so no one sees my real name.
hoffa 68- how do you change the name on your CIBC account?
