Not sure if this is the right place to post.
Is there a site or a way that we, clients, can warn each other about scams (ads, posts, promised services, etc), other than through writing a review?

A former(?) TERBite, Cowboy Kenny, used to have an invaluable blog where scammers were posted. But he had to give that up. Those of us here during his heyday really appreciated it.

Is there any way of restarting the blog (or create a new blog)? or, is it not allowed (legally or policy wise or other reasons)?
I do not mind starting it again if it is possible but I do not know how to set up a blog and run it. If I am told how to do it, I would do it.

I thought that is what TERB was for.

However if you are talking more of a database that is better to search against, then that would be something you have to create on your own.

You can find free website hosting sites, or bloggers, wordpress based with free plugin options. It is simple-ish you have a general sense of UI and can YouTube, google, and search sites properly to find your info. then you can do it.

Terb is very difficult to look for specific information for this purpose.

Let's use this thread to report scams. Here is one that happened to me today:

Her number is 236-330-0329 and calls herself Marina. She works out of 167 York Street in Ottawa

Here is her leolist ad: https://www.leolist.cc/personals/fe...n_your_dreams_be_came_true_last_night-4154750

The pics are fake but that is not why I am posting. She took money for a duo with her and her friend Valentina and then refused to perform any service or return any portion of the money, She then threatened to call police. It was clearly a well-practiced scam.

Her friend is Valentina 575-208-5288

I'm still around, lurking in the background. The diary had run its course , in my opinion, it was somewhat time consuming and the return on investment was not the same as it once was especially once bil c36 introduced stricter advertising conditions for service providers. After 10 years + I felt it was time, time to pass the torch, as I see many of you do here. I ebjouyed hosting the diary, it was a great creative outlet and a great forum to meet so e great people. Keep up the good work here lads!

From the last thread, Owly, clearly scams are probably as prevalent as before C36 (if not worse) and brave according to his story. So probably a scam database or thread or some kind of easy to use method is still very useful for all terbites. I also heard that there are posts promising services but asking for money transfer beforehand and then they ghosted.
Another note to Owly, the post stated "-IF ITS NOT ME ON MY PICTURES THE SERVICE WILL BE FREE FOR YOU !!!". If you saw the pics were fake, what was the reason you still gave them the money. I understand sometimes under certain conditions, our brains don't work right. Not judging you, but just want to understand what might have happened so that we can go in with a better guarded mindset.

Some reason not to post the scams here? I prefer to minimize the different places I need to check out for information.

She looks like the person in the picture, she used pics that look like her. I did not realize at the time -- a reverse image search after the fact reveals they belong to someone else. But as I said the pics were not the issue. She looks great. (I can tolerate a provider who uses pictures that reflect how she looks even if they are not actually her. )

Gaitboy just reported the same number.
