This are very sad stories, and abortion is not birth control. I read the stories and I wouldn't call anonymous with 5 abortions a strong harrowing woman.

Her husband wanted to keep the baby and they already had other kids. In this case having an abortion is taking the easy way out.

I have 5 kids and they are a lot of work, but there is also an amazing beauty to having them in my life.

Personally I am anti abortion, but I will always defend the right of every woman to have the right to have one. However, this articles only hurts the cause and the right of women to have abortions. Because they completely forget that left uninterrupted those pregnancies become a life. A life that is a gift to the world, and you never know if that life could have had the key to curing cancer, or STIs, etc....

I'm open on this topic but being a father of two I'm gonna say having kids is the best thing ever happened to my life.

Abortion is murder
It is funny how some people try to downplay that fact
Or post sob stories about the "poor girl" who should not be forced to do "something" with "her body"

Its not fucking rocket science
You have unprotected sex
You get pregnant

You have protected sex
It is not 100% foolproof
You get pregnant

Some very dumb women in the world who seem unaware abstinence is only true contraception

What were these strong women thinking the moment
their legs were spread wide open? The guy was going
to take care of everything because he would want more
sex from her?

I have mixed views on abortion.
Legal or illegal I don't care. What confuses me is if the man wants to have the child he has no say in the final outcome. It's all up to her even if he says "you don't want it fine.I do. Once it's born then I will take full responsibility and you can walk away". But if she wants it and the guy doesn't, too fucking bad. Cough up the support $$and good luck at seeing him.

If she can opt out,he should have the chance to.

Abortion is a desperate measure...done by not stupid people but people who were stupid to have made the pregnancy happen....

I was curious about the health effects of abortion and sadly discover the following passage on one of the reports. The end part about a baby being born from the failed abortion really got to me.

A study of 65,045 abortions performed in 5 freestanding surgical units over 100 months time found 46 cases of incomplete abortion. Nearly 3/4 were 8 week or less pregnancies (dating from last monthly period), 20% were 6 weeks or less. Among the successfully completed abortions 44% were 8 weeks or less and 6% were less than 6 weeks. Risk of failure is 6x greater at 6 weeks than at 9 or more. The last monthly period gestational age estimation was found to be correct in 95.6% of 45 cases. Among 30 cases, 53.3% were physician misjudgements of gestational age. Anatomic reasons for failed abortion described 13 patients. Gross observation of the villi and getal parts occurred in only 22 cases and did not reveal the incomplete abortion. Pathologists should examine removed tissue and report any discrepancy to the physician. Follow-up examinations (2 weeks after operation) detected failed abortion in 22% of cases. Patients who said they still felt pregnant were ignored in 1/2 the cases. Early detection and diagnosis of failed abortion is necessary to avoid the more complex procedures required in later stages of pregnancy. One patient carried the fetus to term and delivered a normal infant.

Is saying no to a sexual proposal murder too? An unborn baby is just that and no one should be forced to carry them to term against their will. Do you remember your time in the womb fondly? Not at all.

You have the luxury of having an opinion (as wrong as it is), because you weren't aborted.

Cazzelino, that's harsh.

Those that piss and moan against abortions should shut up and put their money where their fat mouths are. Orphanages are in a deplorable state, overcrowded and under funded. An abortion is a tragic event, the woman who chooses that route carries the stigma for life. However placing an unwanted child in an orphanage is far worse. The child may be doomed to abuse and failure and become a burden on the welfare state. There is nothing worse than an unwanted child, so either put up the money to support the system or STFU.

Veep has a lot of memorable one liners and here’s one that fits the thread. Be honest - there’s a lot of truth in comedy.

One abortion is an accident. Two, carelessness. Three or more, a habit. And while I'm not against abortion, I am almost certain that we have ways to prevent them. Like with them birth control methods, if my grade six teacher can be believed.

I think abortion should be legal, no issue there.

I also think a vast majority of abortions are the result of irresponsible women.

I can’t imagine being so cavalier about a child’s life, but then I can’t imagine abusing a kid either.

Legally, an unborn fetus is not considered a human in most jurisdictions. Financially, you get no tax benefits until the baby is born. Scientifically, the issue of when human life "begins" is a debated topic, as is when human life ends (esp. for someone in a coma, brain dead, etc.)
