I saw a guy a while back, he had a face tattoo. It was green. 3/4 of his face was dark green. No pattern. Just green. Looked like some kind of Braveheart war paint or something. His face is permanently green. Why would anyone think that’s a good idea?

I dunno, I never really got the whole tattoo thing. I guess some can look nice if they’re done well, but most of them are just awful. Why would someone get Spongebob tattooed on their chest?

why does every generation have their own style of music? If you don't understand it it's not your generation.

Getting tattoo's isn't "rebellious" anymore. Unless it's a big swastika on your face or something.

Tattoo removal is getting better and better. I've seen removals where the only way you could tell there had been a tattoo there is if you examined really up close, which 99% of the time people aren't going to be doing. Within a few years they'll have it perfected and removing tattoos will be no big thing.

I laugh when I see chicks with the ribbon or bow tattooed on the back of their thigh. It's the new tramp stamp and looks terrible. The other thing that makes me shake my head is women who don't realize beauty is symmetry. When you get a big ugly face on one thigh, it throws off your symmetry and lessens your beauty. But then again, if you're picking a big ugly face on your thigh beauty isn't a high priority for you. The sad ones are the girls that have natural beauty but obscure it by plastering tattoos all over themselves.

When I see people overly tattooed (you know the ones, with the random tattoos splattered haphazardly wherever there's skin), I see them as lacking confidence and hiding behind tattoos. That may be right, that may be wrong (I think it's more right than wrong), but that's the impression I'm left with. Which isn't a good one.

It's only rebellious if you get it on your face now, and young rappers are fashioning that into the trend. I think Lil Wayne was the first to kick it off years ago and all the youngsters have followed suit. But yeah, all other tattoos have been "safe" for quite some time now.

Each generation feels it can't be outdone by its predecessor, so generation Z will either reject tattoos altogether or keep them but add a healthy dose of body scarification/mutilation along with it. lmao

When I was young, I had no issues about tattoos. But thankfully I didn't get one.

As I get older I find tattoos more and more distasteful - no matter how small they are.

I prefer to see the smooth and silky skins on ladies rather than any ink on them.

I’ll chime in as someone with some notable tattoos...

I think to lump everyone together and say “it’s rebellious” is a little preposterous. Men and women alike have different reasons for permanently marking their bodies and rebellion is merely one reason, and furthermore it’s unlikely he/she is getting something so permanent and painful for the enjoyment of others. While many people admire my tattoos (which is lovely but never MY reason for getting them), there’s an equal amount of people who find them distasteful, not for WHAT they are, for the mere fact I chose to express myself in such a permanent way. Which is no problem, since permanently modifying my skin was simply a ME choice I started years ago.

Regarding the laser removal, yes the need for that is growing. My shop in particular offers laser treatment which was started only a few years ago. In an ideal world the individuals getting these tattoos should be at a mental maturity to make these decisions but I’m well aware that’s unrealistic. I can personally say the only tattoo I regret any part of is some words on my foot. No regret about what they say, but rather that at 18 I let my mom talk me into getting it much smaller than I had wanted.

In regards to the old leathery skin I’m bound to sport one day (FAR FAR AWAY), I’m okay with that. I didn’t get these to flaunt them at 80 years old. Also, touch ups, cover ups and simple proper maintenance can go a long way in prolonging a tattoo.

Sometimes I may look at a tattoo and think “what we’re they thinking” or “where will that person ever find work”, but it’s a personal choice. Who knows, maybe a big ol’ unicorn face tat is next on my tattoo adventures. Guess we’ll wait and see! :flypig:

I think about the workers at funeral homes and morgues about 60 years from now. They are gonna see some disgusting things. Tramp Stamps just above 90 year old asses

Leviticus 19:27-29 King James Version (KJV)
27 Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.
28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord.
29 Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.

We've turned away from God. It all started with Rock n Roll, the original Devil's music.

I mean, did you not read the one directly under that?
