There will be an investigation into why he was fired with a wrongful dismissal suit, since he was only recommended to be demoted, not fired.
Its just politics.
He was fired because he no longer represented the ideals of the FBI. That his word and his impartiality could no longer be trusted in any investigation. And as an example to the rank and file of what is proper conduct.
Yet the director that normally handles employee discipline recommended a demotion and 60 day suspension.
Explain that one.

Because he wasn't seeing the bigger picture of morale within the FBI. And perhaps they were friends. Who knows. But it was a legit firing.

The biggest crook called Trump should now be interviewed as this whole Strzok firing has not proven anything that was related to bias for the work he had performed. Yes, he should bring a lawsuit against the FBI, as it was a witch hunt by the POTUS himself with all his false accusations.

Questioning the botched DNC investigation is fair game and quite reasonable.

But I saw a former FBI guy on CNN Anderson Cooper tonight discussing Strzok' s actions as against the core values of the FBI. The appearance alone of bias is enough to render him useless as a witness.
He praised Strzok as an excellent investigator ( although I believe he was politically compromised at the end) but this firing is legit and reasonable.
It was the reason he was fired. His ability to appear in court as an unbiased investigator is now compromised. The core strength of the FBI is its integrity in court. To be believed. He has lost that trust.
Have you ever seen the emails that RCMP personel send each other? Please, don't lecture us on morale. Informal communications are often gross and politically incorrect .
This was political. Not sexual. And if the RCMP are sending inappropriate communications it should end as well.
Is it wrong to expect a standard of conduct for the top law enforcement agency?
