Anyone watching the Open? Pretty excited to see my buddy,Tigers is on top of the leaderboard. I usually watch when he's in contention.
Same here. Rarely watch golf unless Tiger is playing. I think he's too far back to have a realistic shot at it though. Gotta say that he seems to be gradually making progress with his game and by next year, if he stays healthy, we could see the Tiger of old.
Man did he ever get lucky with his tee shot on 18 today! If he gets some bounces like that tomorrow, who knows?

Rarely see so many in contention so late in a major. Regardless of who won it was thrilling.

When I turned on my tv and saw Tiger in first early yesterday morning I almost jumped out of my seat and spilled my coffee, lol! It was good to watch Tiger competed though till the last hole for the first time since he came back. But, I also am happy for the Italian winning the title. Good tournament in all.

That is surprising, Italy doesn't have the land to waste on golf courses.

Most Italian resort/spas are tennis oriented.

As of 2014, there were 224 golf courses in Italy, including 136 full 18, 27 or 36 hole courses.
Ontario has more golf courses than Italy. They are very water intensive and the runoff is loaded with nitrates, which chokes the life out of rivers and lakes. Italy is more concerned with restoring the small dead lakes within the country than building golf courses. The spa near my birth town has six clay courts for tennis and two swimming pools. No golf course anywhere in the region. Plenty of olive groves but no golf courses.

Still I'm happy for Francesco Molinari.
