Have been watching this on TSN the past few nights. 3 were eliminated from the final table yesterday.
9th place - Antoine Labat $1M payout
8th place - Artem Metalidi $1.25M payout
7th place - Alex Lynskey $1.5M payout
The short stack going into day 2 of the final table is Aram Zobrian with $16.7M in chips (approx 15 big blinds). Chip leader with a whopping $156.5M is Michael Dyer who reminds me a bit of Philip Seymour Hoffman.
The most recognizable name left is Joe Cada who won the 2009 Main Event. Incredible he is back there again!
I know poker isn't technically a sport but it is a mental challenge. Kudos to these guys for enduring through a field of 7800+ competitors. The 2nd biggest of all time.
