This is a major change for TERB, any reason why that this happened?

I didnt notice until today that you no longer need to be a registered member to leech reviews. Now people can just look straight away! No contribtions! No feedback!

Doesnt that lead to a whole other set of issues as well?

If you do not need to join chances are you will not post any reviews.
And without reviews there will be no eyeballs to sell to advertisers. The question is whether the 'privilege' of sharing bits of your sex life with the entire world will keep readable, reliable reviews coming. I kinda think not, but if They are only reading, how will us TERBians know that we're not an exclusive little club anymore? Time will tell. Good luck Fred, wherever you are.

I won't be posting further reviews due to this. I will only PM a handful of member who post and have posted reviews with information. I'll also be looking to delete some of my posts as well.

I think reviews were going a little downhill, with too many shilly type reviews then fights whenever a slightly negative review is posted (and sometimes "negative" is just being balanced and realistic). Not sure of the solution to this - but think making all reviews public is NOT the way to improve the forum. It also raises issues about people lurking with no contributions at all - without even the basic requirement of signing up for a free membership. People can lurk without any trail as well, copying and pasting into other boards (which I know already happens - but why make it easier?). And non-hobbyists will be able to monitor the board easily with no membership which raises all sorts of possible issues.

Bad idea, IMO.

Exactly why I'll be contributing less publicly.

It's hard enough to post a negative review without it being deleted or modified. There was already alot of attention here for advertisers and places signing up because of the demise of backpages. This change was totally not needed.

it should be going the other way
NO section should be visible without being a member
would be interesting to hear the reasoning behind this
Pretty sure the reasoning is that TERB is a business not a public service. Just like FaceBook, if you aren't paying for the product it's probably because you *are* the product.

This is clear pandering to the advertisers and trying to get them more eyeballs.
How dare they cater to the interests of the actual paying customers!!! You should demand a refund, david01!!!! What a waste of your hard-earned... oh, right, yeah. RIGHT.

All sections where open to read except TO. Durham/Ottawa have been open to the public forever. Why the outcry now?

First of all, I want to thank everyone for their input. This community would be nothing without all of your contributions, and its the reason why we are Canada's largest online adult community. On Terb, we constantly look for ways to improve and grow our community even further, some things will work, others will not. We are not afraid to try new things, nor are we afraid to admit that some ideas are not in our best interest. This was one of them. Once again, thanks for your input, we will return things to the way they were.

Ive been on this board since 2000 in one carnation or another and have seen it change and evolve and without experimentation to improve your model you wont be the largest on line adult community for long. I applaud your efforts and thanks for your honest response

Thanks for keeping us informed, and thanks even more for keeping the Board alive, and for always trying to keep it fresh and vigorous.

Don't ever be afraid to try new things. WE can be a grumpy lot sometimes, but trying new things is what brought us all here.

Indeed, just take a look at the "other" board where shills and trolls post comments and reviews without even being registered.

The reason I stopped reviewing was never about privacy. It was about receiving shit from providers and white nights. Having a bad session with a popular girl and then sharing it isn't worth the hassle.

Are they? Shame that Toronto isn't any longer and was only briefly, it's got a much higher volume of providers and hobbyists.

Well that's a shame, because I've been using my first review on the blue board as a screening tool for years due to it's being public access. I'm positive a number of users have signed up to that board due to being introduced in this manner. One still needs a membership to view pictures and thus there is incentive to join.

Which has shit all to do with having reviews read as public access and EVERYTHING to do with allowing unregistered posting /smh
Dig deeper, friend, you're only skimming the surface. Or you know, try to stay on topic?

Hm, the only place I've found that reviews don't get snowed under a pile of BS is the "other" board, not red, not blue... not even sure what colour it's been dubbed, and perhaps it's only a matter of time before the toxicity rolls on in there, eh?
