It's duly noted that none of the responders dared disagree with your conclusion.
Better to back Canadian values.^ Of course save that you are applying a different set of values to Israel than you are to the rest of the Middle East.
There's no evidence for your claims.Another bullshit thread with a bullshit title.
And the fact that the Palestinians, Jordanians, and several other countries consider themselves a Jew free Islamic state doesn't bother the OP.
So you think Canadian values shouldn't apply to the rest of the Middle East?Better to back Canadian values.
Equal rights......
Other than the thread where you say Jamaicans are to blame for Toronto violence?...
You have the nerve to call me racist ....
This claim that Palestinians don't want equal rights has to be the most ridiculous thing you've said in a long time.So you think Canadian values shouldn't apply to the rest of the Middle East?
p.s. Palestinians don't want equal rights and refugees/descendants don't want to become Israeli.
That makes it sound like the US, which states its Christian and respects all other religions.Other than the thread where you say Jamaicans are to blame for Toronto violence?
And yes, your thread title is bullshit and there is plenty of evidence that Arab states officially describe themselves as Muslim states and most of them have rules excluding non-Muslims from power positions.
For example, the Palestinian constitution states:
4) Islam is the official religion in Palestine. Respect and sanctity of all other heavenly religions shall be maintained.
The principles of Islamic Shari’a shall be the main source of legislation.
Arabic shall be the official language.
They also have laws saying Jews can not buy land and it is a serious crime to sell land to one (though they are getting better, until recently it meant the death penalty).
what does that have to do with Israel? Israel has significant minority of Arabs that have come under its domain by force of arms.Try being a practicing Christian, or Jew (who Mohamed himself called People of the Book) let alone a Hindu or Buddhist in Saudi Arabia or indeed most of the Middle East and that is not even to mention those considered apostates such as Bahá’í or Ismailis.
Canada just banned the Chinese from buying Aecon, because they are the Chinese... so whats your point? Clearly Israelis are much richer and they don't want to lose any further territory. Do you seriously think Israel would allow Arabs to start buying up huge chunks of Israel backed by Saudi and Iranian money? On top of that Israel has on its books legislation authorizing the confiscation of Arab owned land....so what again is your point? (you tend to always ignore and refuse to acknowledge that Israel has confiscated land along ethnic lands from private land owners and not compensated them.Other than the thread where you say Jamaicans are to blame for Toronto violence?

You don't like it but Palestinians hate the idea you want to impose on them. Palestinian polling has consistently shown Palestinians reject a One State peace and that hasn't changed in more than a decade. This claim that Palestinians don't want equal rights has to be the most ridiculous thing you've said in a long time.....

The most recent has 68.6% opposed to the idea:
Q38) Given the growing belief that the two-state solution is no longer viable
Given they're living under apartheid rule and have been living under military occupation for half a century, this is pretty heartening. When the public is asked if it supports each of the following the responses were different: 74% support
joining more international organizations; 63% support popular non-violence; 48% support a return to an armed
intifada; and 49% support dissolving the PA.
That's not a fair assessment, you're claiming bias when the article is correct.Of course the article by Mondoweiss which is an anti-Zionist blog is completely misleading as is the headline. The Bill proposes sought among other things to change the flag, the official language from Hebrew to Hebrew and Arabic, change the national anthem and various other state symbols. Countries have a right to determine what their national language is, what there national anthem is and what, if any, symbols of the country there may be. The fact that Arabic is not an official language or that there is no Arabic anthem etc. does not mean that arab citizens are less equal than Jewish citizens. I am not less a Canadian citizen because the flag, language, national anthem etc. do not recognize my Polish heritage.
That is what they thought dangerous to Israel. The Knesset legal counsel, Eyal Yanon, said it clearly:
“[The bill] contains several articles which are meant to change the character of Israel from the national state of the Jewish People into a state which grants equal status, from the national point of view, to the Jewish nation and the Arab nation.”
