England will win the World Cup - even though they faces the weakest team of the teams you mentioned danmand.

Germany and Brazil have opened this up by not winnng first game. England barely beat Tunisia . Is that not like barely beating Canada?

The cup seems up for grabs, making for a tremendous tournament. Off to a great start.

Mexico has certainly increased their odds of winning with their speed taking down Germany.

Celebrations in Mexico City were recorded on earthquake measuring devices

I will be cheering for England since it is in my bloodlines. They didn't inspire very much confidence today however.
I will also be cheering for Mexico, Poland and the underdog Iceland.

However, I think the winner will be one of Spain or Portugal. Best game of the tourney so far.

Poland is my dark horse.

Silly Robin Quivers, does she do any work on The Howard Stern Show? She's always making bad mistakes, obviously she doesn't fact check what she's talking about. Yesterday was a real howler. She talked about Mexican fans creating a mini earthquake, they beat the defending champions who won it last year.

Harry Kane the youngest England captain ever at a World Cup, on his first World Cup game has already scored more world cup goals than Rooney every did.

He seems to be the only one on the England team though that knows where the back of the net is. Lingard and Sterling get into all sorts of good positions but can’t be trusted to finish.

So why did VAR not give England any penalties when they should’ve been given two. The rugby tackles on Kane were clear penalties and they were more clear penalties than the one that the referee didn’t hesitate for a second to give against England when Walker put his arm out to Block the Tunisia player.

I thought the VAR was supposed to correct those clear decisions that the referee misses. Except when it’s England?

either way though with Harry Kane England overcame Tunisia and the referee.

Is anyone else having the same problem I am having?

Can't anyone on the post game show speak with a clear Canadian intonation? I am having a great deal of difficulty following what they are saying... especially when they pump it up to 150 m.p.h.!

Great commentary when I get to understand it, but...

The only Canadian analyst I've seen who seems to know what he's talking about is Craig Forrest and he works for Sportsnet, not TSN.

You never watch any British tv shows then? These guys accents aren't even very thick or hard to understand compared to a lot of what you'll get on British TV.

Martin Tyler is still the best football broadcaster in the world. The great Bruno Pizzul has retired.

Harry Kane is a quick learner, his record is 1-1-1 vs Giorgio Chiellini. His first match against GC he got taken to school, he won his battle against Chiellini in the CL but Tottenham lost.

Thanks. No, I watch very little TV. There is so much more interesting stuff elsewhere... but I did at one time love Benny Hill, the 2 Ronnies, Monty Python...

But yes, I find it especially difficult to understand Caldwell... which is frustrating because I think he is very knowledgeable!

I think I will use my headphones... :crutch:

Senegal 2 Poland 1...man did I just rip a scoreggione!

I said Kamil Glik is the best defender in this WC - I forgot all about Kalidou Koulibaly. Where would Napoli be without him!

Every Senegalese plays professional football in Europe: Mane (Liverpool), Kouyate (West Ham), Gomis (SPAL) and Nyang (Torino), they are the true dark horses. Senegal is also the only Muslim country with a sufi majority.

A scoreggione for all seasons!

.
They supposed to be ranked 8th above Spain. They weren't lucky but they didn't play very good and Senegal were decent. This bad luck is continuing for the bigger teams, except England, but even they had a hard time winning.

Most of the games are good, Colombia was supposed to be win over Japan, but the Japs are not bad. Their goalie pulled out the ball from the goal trying to fake it never went in LOLOL

You Tube has a series of videos on how to speak and understand each of the dozen or so major British regional accents. Get to work.

Watch the soccer matches with the English closed captions. That's what I use sometimes when I'm watching "Coronation Street". I usually need to be drunk to understand their Cockney accent. LOL

Do they test for drugs ? The Russians were a machine today against Egypt, high tempo and unstoppable. They just kept up this high rhythm and never backed off. I would like to see how they do against a better team than Egypt. (although they had Salah and Trezeguet
So far for me Spain and Portugal are a few that played good. Belgium too.
