A condition that he not be out alone would be an odd one in a lengthy pre trial bail. It's far more likely that he was ordered to not contact Mulligan and perhaps certain other people. And the obstruct justice is almost certainly trying to convince another person to destroy evidence or refuse to testify in court. Again that seems likely to be Mulligan.

Alternatively, he was living somewhere else without obtaining a change of bail and tried to get someone to lie to cover his ass on that.
Oagre, maybe you're right and Bullard was living somewhere else, without the courts permission. IMHO, Bullard seems to have gone through a lot of sureties??

In this article, Bullard had totally different sureties. In other words, maybe Cynthia Mulligan, had nothing to do with Bullard's new charges??

Reading what is available in the media, they don't give any context or explanation on the nature of these new charges charges.

But reading between the lines in this article in the Toronto Star, it sounds like he breached conditions of his bail with respect to being outside his half brother's house in Brantford where he has been living in a supervised setting without being accompanied by one of two people. (His half brother or his half brother's commonlaw wife.)

It does not sound like he's stalking Cynthia Mulligan. (If he was so silly, I'm sure he would have been thrown in the klink.)

So he's not respecting the conditions of his bail. Foolish, but hardly a hanging offense.

So I'll give him the benefit of the doubt before I cast him into the lion's pit like so many of you. Let's see what the judge thinks about his behavior before we pencil him for a date with the electric chair shall we.
I think you hit the nail on the head and that's exactly what's going on.

All I know is his talk show was the worst late night show I've ever seen. I'd rather watch infomercials.

I've actually seen his show live when a friend got free tickets. His show was done at a studio just a block north of Yonge/Bloor.... it was across the street from the Canadian Tire.

I don't think I laughed once. I kid you not.... the comedian who did the pre-show for about 10 minutes was funnier.

On the plus side, after the show they had a buffet where you got free drinks and endless finger food.

In Bullard's defence, I thought his radio talk show on news talk 1010, between 12-1 weekdays, was hilarious.

Never heard him on radio, but he definitely is not meant to be a talk show host. He'd just sit there, barely cracked jokes and his dry style doesn't work in front of a studio crowd.

It was dead silence 99% of the time.

IMHO, Bullard was great on the radio. Bullard's jokes were funny, and he always pushed the boundaries. It was amusing that Bullard was even on news talk 1010 in the first place, as 1010 is such a conservative Toronto radio station.

Read the link in my post to the Toronto Star.

It says he can't go out of the house on his own. He must be in the company of his half brother or his half Brothers wife, or his doctor.

Then I stand corrected and I should have read your link.

He gets arrested again for breaching bail conditions, and yet gets released on bail one more time?
I read in the newspaper that our prisons are overfilled, so I guess for low level crimes judges will always grant bail

Which might tie into the unusually harsh bail term that JTK drew my attention to. Normally, accused are not placed on what is close to house arrest while awaiting trial - especially on a minor crime like this. Sounds like Bullard fucked up the first time perhaps by straying near the vic's house and was released again only on the condition that he not be allowed to wander around unaccompanied.

Not at all. If you flout bail conditions, even on low level domestic assaults, they will put your ass in jail.

I think the problem for Bullard (besides him having a stalker/creep mentality) is that his career has tanked so much that he's not making enough to fund visits to Allure, Steeles, HFH, and maybe Pure.

And if he did, he would have to take his sister-in-law into the room with him.
