My SO and I like to watch crime show documentaries. Our absolute favourite's is Homicide Hunter, staring retired Detective Joe Kenda. There's just something fascinating about this guy. He was a Colorado Springs Police Department detective who was involved in 387 homicide cases over a 23-year career, with a closure rate of 92%.

What's yours?

Yeah, loved the ones with Michael Moriarty. But I was thinking more along the lines of real crime documentaries.
Fair enough. I have no interest in those. LOL

Dateline. Especially when the voice over is Keith Morrison.

The first season of Murder One from 1995, now available on Hulu (and other less legal sources).

Produced by David Bochco of Hill Street Blues fame. Great cast including Daniel Benzali, Stanley Tucci, Barbara Bosson, and Dylan Baker.

Yup... That's a good one too and yes, Keith Morrison's voice makes it that much better. Love the way he tells the story.

City Confidential was another one I liked. Especially with Paul Winfield who did the voice-over from 1999-2014. He was excellent as well.

I like “American Greed”, although I tend to listen to it while driving more than watch on TV. I get a kick out of how Stacy Keach narrates and makes every pause for a commercial break end on a dramatic note. And when you listen to it on SiriusXM, the commercials are so cheesy and cheap, it’s almost like they are a part of the show (which is about Con artists and their willing victims).

Blue Bloods and Instinct are my two favourites with Private Eyes close behind. Private Eyes is based in Toronto and shows the city off in every episode.

Used to like Criminal Minds but started to get too gory and they started dropping the good guys from the cast.

"Goliath" starring Billy Bob Thornton, William Hurt, Maria Bello, etc. Produced by Amazon Studios. Lawyer/crime series.

Season 1 was excellent. Season 2 now streaming, not quite as good but still worth watching.
