Bolton made a stupid statement comparing this to Libya. The WH has since corrected this. Hopefully that helps get things back on track.
Libya gave up their nukes and 8 years later they were invaded.
Such a great example.

Iran signed and kept to the JCPOA and still the US broke their end of the deal and is pushing for sanctions.
Such another great example.

If you were NK, would you give up your nukes and sign?

Looks like Trump is not making friends anywhere now.
Europe sticks its thumb in Trump's eye

So your stance is a peace deal can't ever be done?

I am not sure about his stance, but any deal the US makes cannot be relied upon for more then the length of a presidential term...UNLESS it is codified through act of congress. As for North Korea, I would think VERY carefully before I gave up the Nukes. I would demand a joint US/Japan/China/S. Korea investment bank and I would consider Chinese bases on my territory to counter US troops in S. Korea. I would consider getting rid of ICBMs but would keep short range nuke until US troop level on the Korean Penninsular dropped below 5000 and no USAF or USN permanent bases. The bottom line is, the US cannot really be trusted. I would also ask that the court for disagreements be the Hague.

So if it's all Trump then if they get the peace deal it's also because of Trump?

You need to decide now if Trump is the primary player in this. I say he is one of four minimum each with their own agenda. And own set of domestic issues and opposition to this. So it's going to take alot of good things to happen out of the control of half to three quarters of each of the players.

And all four are truly going to have to want It, which has yet to be determined.

Bolton made a stupid statement comparing this to Libya. The WH has since corrected this. Hopefully that helps get things back on track.
China and South Korea have so far played their cards very well until the US decided from a position of "strength" to go ahead with the joint drill with South Korea. Could they not have delayed this drill until after Trump and Kim rubbed shoulders with one another?

Once again N. Korea are in the driving seat as far as these negotiations are concerned. Now if North Korea agrees to a fully DMZ with the destruction of their nuclear weapons, then I could agree with China, South Korea and Trump gaining credibility in this respect. However, If they just agree to North Korea holding on to their Nuclear weapons but freezing the development of any further weapons, then this treaty will be no different to any previously signed treaties. Remember that China has the greatest leverage with N. Korea, and the US, the least in this respect. South Korea has to be given credit for triggering the dialogue with the leaders of North and South Korea.

The Whitehouse should take responsibility for Bolton's statement, as that is what Bolton is all about.

He's doing a much better job than Obama on those two items. Obama bent over and Trump is now sticking it up the ass of Iran and bringing North Korea to the table. With the threats of more sanctions Iran is shitting in they're pants. What are they going to do ? Slow down the oil? Saudi Arabia will increase it, just to stick it to them.

You live in a parallel universe, where the price of oil has not increased, and where the EU are not preparing buy Iran's oil in Euros, and where China is not buying oil from Iran in (gold verable Yuans).
The actions of the Trump regime are antagonizing Europe and strengthening Russia and China. It weakens the petr_dollar.

As clearly stated before. SKorea is the one who has say over the drills. And they are JOINT drills. S Korea chose to go ahead with the USA.

This isn't just a decision of Trump. Every single issue in the world is not Trump's fault.

If China is playing around don't they also share the blame for failure?

I see 4 players in this. Plus a few peripherals with a stake as well.

And any issues with comparisons to Libya feel free to blame the EU and Obama/Clinton. They are The ones that arranged for the death of Khadaffi. They betrayed the trust.

Trump rules out downsizing drills with South Korea, tells North Korea to denuclearize and vows ‘protections’.

What does that tell you? It is the Americans who call the shots. You could be rest assured that if it was South Korea, no doubt they would have postponed it. Look at the way they went out of their way to open the gateway to North Korea during the Winter Olympics. The South Korean PM Lee Nak-yon is a smart cookie, and not dumb like Trump. Did Kim not go to China and have a warm reception from Xi Jingping?
This all rests in Trump's hands. I know you claim that you are a "Sanders Supporter", but you try to make excuses for Trump's gaffes. No Bernie Sanders supporter will put up with Trump's stupidity.

As noted. The world's problems do not rest solely with Trump.

And you are using complementary language for two autocrats. One of whom killed his own family members and still runs gulags.

That's how low you are going.

Who said that the world's problems rested solely with Trump??

You know that you should direct your your criticisms for your cult follower who is the one that praised that man who killed his own family member!! Obviously you wont as he is your idol.
You are the one that is making a fool out of yourself with that "complementary language" statement, when Trump is the one that has been doing so these past few days. Don't you know that if you are trying to negotiate then you do not praise the person who is a ruthless dictator as it is actions like not giving someone fuel for fire. But that is precisely what Trump did.

Remember, Butler is not a trump supporter and does not defend him. He proves this to us every day. This is just another example.

So South K can demand that the US conduct the drills even if the US doesn't think it is a good time for them?
