Before they wrote hits for themselves, Ashford and Simpson wrote numerous hits for other artists. This song is unique - great duet.
Ashford and Simpson re-orchestrated the song into something epic, it became Diana Ross's first solo hit.
Ashford and Simpson scored another major hit with Sister Sledge - We Are Family. Post Diana Ross, they went out on their own.

I don't believe this was an Ashford and Simpson composition. It was Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards from Chic who wrote and produced it.
25 years ago this past May 31, the Beastie Boys released their 4th studio album - Ill Communication. Featured the hits Sabotage (along with a killer video), Sure Shot and Get It Together (with Q Tip). But my favorite song on the album is this 2 minute delight
