Honestly a minority is a possiblity, but I doubt it will happen, I think the Liberal support will crumble and depending how hard and where it'll be an NDP Majority or Tory Majority.

The NDP has a potential voter pool of a whooping 62%!!!

It could come down to if Andrea can keep it together or not.

Andrea has a nice demeanour and smile, libtards are last in the poll. I'm starting to like Doug he has buggy eyes, but they all sucked at the debate the other night.

Actually so far I've only seen NDP signs too to my surprise as the areas I live and work in are not NDP territory traditional at all
As the actual campaign writ just dropped the NDP may have been a touch early.

The difficulty with Bill Kelly's analysis is that you have to factor in the strong desire for change and the intense dislike (dare we call it hatred) for Kathleen Wynne.

The prospects for left-of-centre voters mobilizing behind Wynne as they did in 2014 seem very unlikely. Even more so this time out, when the NDP has a more left-wing platform (by margins, at least) than the Liberals.

Horwath is likely right that it's between the Conservatives and the NDP. The big unknown is how much the NDP can actually grow.

Any majority by any party will be an accident. As for polls - this election will be even more volatile than the last two (when Hudak pulled defeat from the jaws of victory). All it will take is a gaffe by any of the leaders, Wynn, Ford, or Horwath and the results will be radically changed in a heartbeat. At this point, the only guess I would make is that there will NOT be a Liberal majority. Any other result is possible and has an equal probability of occurring.

I'll go further and predict it won't be a Liberal majority or a minority.

To lift an old Bob Costas line and apply it to Kathleen Wynne: Elvis has a better chance of coming back.

Here is how it will play out:

* PC Majority
* NDP official opposition
* Libs a distant third
* Granny Wynn resigns and the liberals need to decide if they actually want to be liberal or continue to be another NDP party
* Horwath resigns and the NDP party needs to decide if they will shift to middle and become the new liberal party of Ontario, remain as another NDP option (pending what the lib's do) or become a communist party.

The good news for the liberal/NDP biased press is that a full term of PC government, especially with Ford at the helm, will keep them employed for another few years. The good news for the Terb liberal gang is that they will have a few years of bitching about Ford to keep themselves busy.

Gee, this is a win-win-win for all!

Time for a group hug.

From a policy perspective, it would pretty much be the status quo, as their platforms almost look like they were written by the same person.

From a competency perspective, I don't know that the NDP would be much better. But it couldn't possibly be any worse.

There are actually some major differences such as Andrea renationalizing Hydro.

And the bad news for the Liberals just keeps getting worse.

Today, the province's largest teachers' union -- representing the elementary teachers -- abandoned the Liberals and endorsed Andrea Horwath and the NDP.

https://www.theglobeandmail.com/can...tion-union-opts-to-endorse-ndp-over-liberals/

This is huge. If the Liberals can't count on on-the-ground support from teachers, then they're in even bigger trouble.
LOL!

The union only wants what is the best for the kids. Their decision has nothing to do with the fact that Wynn has no chance in hell of being re-elected and their best chance of sucking more money out of the government is with Horwath. It's all about the kids!
