The superficial analysis ignores the fact that there is a very real possibility of a minority Govt. So unless it's a majority for the PC's or the NDP - all three parties will have a hand in governing.
Actually so far I've only seen NDP signs too to my surprise as the areas I live and work in are not NDP territory traditional at alli see a couple of NDP elections signs in my area no liberal or PC signs
As the actual campaign writ just dropped the NDP may have been a touch early.Actually so far I've only seen NDP signs too to my surprise as the areas I live and work in are not NDP territory traditional at all
The difficulty with Bill Kelly's analysis is that you have to factor in the strong desire for change and the intense dislike (dare we call it hatred) for Kathleen Wynne.
I'll go further and predict it won't be a Liberal majority or a minority.Any majority by any party will be an accident. As for polls - this election will be even more volatile than the last two (when Hudak pulled defeat from the jaws of victory). All it will take is a gaffe by any of the leaders, Wynn, Ford, or Horwath and the results will be radically changed in a heartbeat. At this point, the only guess I would make is that there will NOT be a Liberal majority. Any other result is possible and has an equal probability of occurring.
From a policy perspective, it would pretty much be the status quo, as their platforms almost look like they were written by the same person. And NDP win would be just awesome....
There are actually some major differences such as Andrea renationalizing Hydro. From a policy perspective, it would pretty much be the status quo, as their platforms almost look like they were written by the same person.
From a competency perspective, I don't know that the NDP would be much better. But it couldn't possibly be any worse.
Good point. There are actually some major differences such as Andrea renationalizing Hydro.
LOL!And the bad news for the Liberals just keeps getting worse.
Today, the province's largest teachers' union -- representing the elementary teachers -- abandoned the Liberals and endorsed Andrea Horwath and the NDP.

This is huge. If the Liberals can't count on on-the-ground support from teachers, then they're in even bigger trouble.
