I've always looked at Facebook with suspicion. The Congressional hearings amounted to nothing.

I never once believed that the platform was a tool for good. Its always been way to exploitable, a harbinger of chaos. Let's face it, fake news travels faster and reaches more people than facts. Facebook greases the wheels of propaganda, but I don't believe that was Zuckerberg's intent.

I've watched the brilliant film The Social Network, Jesse Eisenberg gave a driven maniacal performance as Zuckerberg - but I took the story with a grain of salt. I do believe that Facebook is Zuckerberg's brain child, Severin helped with the development but it was Zuckerberg baby. As for the Winklevoss Twins, they were nothing more than elitist dumb jocks who made off with more than they deserved.

Having said that, even though he belongs in the highest etch echelons with Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, Zuckerberg hasn't done himself any favours.

He looks like an asshole.
He's one of those guys who is full of shit.

No doubt, it's his job to run FB like a business and make money. No problem with that. Every business wants to make money.

The problem is that he (and everyone else) knows there's lots of idiots in the world that believe things at face value and image.

Zuckerberg's image is no different than Steve Jobs dressing down trying to be Mr. Cool guy, or Michael Moore wearing jeans and baseball caps trying to convince people he's a blue collar guy just as broke as laid off auto worker..... despite the fact he owns 9 properties including a $5M lake house (according to his divorce papers).

Some people see this image and think they are the coolest CEOs out there who let people do what they want and everything is a party. No stuffy shirts, business is lax, and the enemy is old fashioned suit and ties people and industries.

Not true.

Their image is just a facade and behind the scenes are just as money hoarding and greedy as everyone else at all costs.

yup. as witnessed by his senate appearance, if he's not a disingenuous douche, he sure does a nice impersonation of one.

I tried to be as objective as possible, Zuckerberg is a smart guy. However, just like Einstein couldn't count to 3, some things in life go over Zuck's head.

I am surprised anybody thought Facebook was a gift to humanity. The business plan always was to leverage the information it gleaned from users in advertising.

This is America.

Zuckerberg is alright. He's a little naive that's all.

The best story about him was when denied the NSA were hacking his servers. They were hacking into his servers and and weren't telling him about.

Blame Facebook ... for what?

The technology was going that way anyways. Zuckerberg was the first to make it into something.
