Don't even have to view video. My prediction would be you'd have a 50/50 probability of being dead within a month. 90/10 within a year.

Life will be lonely but a lot of fun nonetheless to be the
last man on earth. As the omega man I will have free
access to cars and guns.

It would really free up a lot of time as we wouldn't have to start any threads or post anything! Guess we'd give up our day jobs & go do something else!
Trying to think just what would I do first or where would be the best place to live!

I think a typical human would successfully scrounge for many many years. Survival is instinctual. Above all, the hope of finding another human would keep them searching. The degree to which we depend on human social interaction for health and happiness would set in very quickly.

Who's going to monitor this forum or post their ads here? I would be utterly sad and heartbroken by the thoughts of never seeing my favourite SP's.

Drugs, booze and VR and high end sex dolls.....maybe forage for food once in a while. I give myself as long as it took me till I did something really dumb like try to fly a helicopter because why not right?!

Think about it folks.
No electricity unless you can figure out how to generate and run the power grid. Many of us would die of hypothermia, unless we migrated south. But how far are you going to get on what gas is left in your tank? Because you wont' be able to pump gas from a gas station without power.
Many of us couldn't stand being that isolated so we'd likely kill ourselves.
Quite a few of us would die of basic infection or heart attack due to trauma.
The 10% of us that would survive after 1 year would need advanced survival skills to do so.

I think you could get to the southern US fairly easily with a car, siphon hose and some gas cans.

As for food stop at cabellas, bass pro etc along the way and grab as much of that mountain house brand freeze dried food which has a shelf like of 30 years. That should also give you some time to work on learning to hunt and fish. Growing vegtables like tomatoes is stupidly easy. That will help extend the time you have with canned goods etc.

Find a house you like. Preferably one with a woodpile as that would be an indicator that it heats based on fire wood.

Loneliness will be a tough one.

I'd hit libraries and bookstores for not only things to read but puzzles and games to keep my mind busy. Heck maybe take up building models.

Raid pharmacies for drugs to use recreationally..... fuck that hit up a seed dispensary and grow all the pot I can smoke.

Good points all around. I think I'd be smoking a lot of pot too.

Frank made some good points. And I'd slowly make my way south too. Might as well keep it simple and live in a place that is warm year round.

Food and water wouldn't be issue. There's enough canned stuff and bottled water to last years and as frankcastle said, growing your own vegetables can't be that hard for the future when all the current food spoils. I'm not a gardener, but if every other house out there can somehow grow basic stuff in their backyard, I'm sure I can learn it too.

I don't know how long bottled water even lasts. Maybe 10 years?

Then read some books on how to make bread from scratch, assuming all the ingredients at a store are rotten.

Health wise, the biggest issue would be how to treat serious infections. So unless you are someone already in medicine and know what to take, every other person would have to read up on it somewhere and find out what medicine to take and raid some drug stores and find it. And since the internet (electricity) is gone, you'd have to find some books or something.

Something more serious like needing surgery for critical injuries would be most people's ultimate doom. How many people know how to do it..... by themselves too? Hardly any.

Keeping warm shouldn't be issue once someone gets the hang of it. There's enough BBQ lighters/matches to create flames and keep warm.

Are wild animals still on Earth? If so, I'd ensure I arm myself with some protective gear and a big knife or spear. Who knows. Maybe packs of wild dogs will eventually roam around.
