Nothing like a war to cement the Orange Moron's hold on power in the United States.

Americans are so naive, they think it's all black and white.

As far as I'm aware, there is not a shred of proof that Assad's forces launched a chemical weapons attack. Or if one even occurred. I would not be surprised if those factions opposed to Assad did this to themselves to bait the Americans into doing their dirty work because the know how Americans are gullible.

I doubt there will be a war, Trump is just smacking down the Syrian mass murderer.
Assad is winning against the jihadists. There was absolutely no reason for a chemical attack. Rather, the jihadists had every reason to provoke a response by the US in order to save their skins.

We've seen this type of scenario before. The WMD lie that led to the US killing one million people in Iraq. The press is controlled by corporations tied in with the deep state. You're all being brainwashed. Goebbels would be proud.

Only this time, since Russia is heavily integrated into the Syrian armed forces, Russia will retaliate if any of its soldiers are hit. That means escalation, and ultimately, nuclear war, you morons!

Looks like shitstorming wars will be happening for a while. It's not like this military action is going to last 48 hours. Get ready for some rocky stock markets. A barrel of oil will probably go up $20.

On the plus side, I have to admit, wars bring entertaining media coverage. I love watching this stuff.

Remember desert storm? That opening night was every channel showing night vision camera shooting and explosions. Kick back and watch idiots blow each other up.

The hosing down of purported victims is a pathetic lie. There is no organisation in that purported hospital. Chlorine affects the lungs, not the skin. Those affected would be coughing their lungs out.

The previous incident where they were hosing down people supposedly hit with sarin gas, victims would be shitting and vomiting their guts out. Yet, they all has their underwear on.

The White helmets are financed by the British and the US, and are a propaganda tool; freed hostages from the occupied areas report that they didn't give a shit about them. The US, Saudis and British have been financing and abetting the various jihadists groups in Syria with the sole purpose of ousting Assad because of pipelines. That includes some of the nastiest jihadists like Al-Qaida terrorists and Islamic state.

They don't care if Assad is overthrown resulting in the black ISIS flag floating over Damascus, and they kill every last Christian and Shiite Muslim there. Oil is more important, and moving closer to Russia so they can facilitate sending jihadists to Chechnya and Dagestan to undertake the breakup of Russia when Syria is partitioned up and in chaos.

BTW, most Russian soldiers sent to Syria are Sunni Muslim Chechens.

For sure. And every country does it. Assholes.

Every country makes it sound their military is so great, does nothing wrong, and it's always the enemy force being the bad guy.

You never hear the good 'ol USA talk about innocent victims or meathead soldiers causing trouble UNLESS there's a whistleblower who spills the beans. Then it becomes..... "uhhhhh, ok, ok. It did happen. We'll look into it and we'll make sure it doesn't happen again"

One US soldier get killed in action and it becomes a big sacred honour roll appreciation of duty.

100s of towns folk get killed due to fighting or some accidental friendly fire or soldiers going PTSD and doing stupid shit and nobody hears about it unless it shows up in Liveleak or Wikileaks.

It's called exceptionalism. It's ok for the US to be doing that kind of shit, but it's not ok for its rivals, because....... because the US are the good guys. That's all!

People also don't have any idea of the scale of US destruction since WW2. The US obliterated 72 North Korean cities in 1950, killing 2 million civilians. General Curtis E Lemay, commander of the new US Air Force, even bragged about it. But it's rarely acknowledged. No wonder Kim wants nuclear weapons as a deterrent. How can a country forget that a sizeable proportion of its population was wiped out?

So Assad is purported to have killed 40 people (not proven by a long shot). Yet the US arms and advises the Saudis in their bombing campaing and blockade of Yemen, where most of the thousands who have been killed are civilians including a whole lot of children. But since you don't see them on TV, I guess that doesn't count.

Not sure this is “just like Iraq.” There would seem to be convincing evidence, especially if you believe independent observers, France and/or the UN.

Targeting a chemical weapons facility given the lead up for last April (and before) to this, seems like a cake and eat it to situation. He ACTUALLY follows through on campaign rhetoric AND he is unlikely to be drawn into a larger regional or global conflict because of his response.

I believe Russia their response will be the telltale indicator of this decision leading to the antithesis of what he seems to have announced in the last couple weeks.

I never followed Korean War stuff, but Googling it now. A quick recap of what the US did. No wonder North Korea hates the US.

Funny how the US is always about telling people about fighting wars in an ethical kind of way..... no innocents getting caught up in it..... yet back then North Korea was a total free for all for US domination. And as usual, the US says nothing about the civilian side of it.

Where's all the US military guys getting tried and convicted for war crimes for going well beyond reasonable amounts of attacks?

Trump doesn't give a shit about from Syrians being gassed, he would not even let them enter American on humanitarian grounds as refugees. What is perturbing Trump now is that the FBI has seized documents from Trump's personal lawyer. The Syrian attack by the US is just a distraction for the American public with Trump still being a shill for Putin. Trump will not be in office long enough to nix the Iranian deal anyway.

Good thing Trump gave them advance notice of this billion dollar fireworks display.
