If Russell Westbrook can somehow pull down 16 rebounds tonight it will give him a triple double average for the second season in a row. Only Oscar Robinson has ever managed it once.

Another near miss, Alex Ovechkin ended up missing the magic 50 goal mark with 49.

Westbrook really is remarkable. He's ahead of most forwards and centers in rebounds, top 10 in points/game, and top five in steals. He keeps being referred to as a stats hog? I can understand knocking someone like Carmelo for taking as many shots as come his way, and not playing defense, but Westbrook leads the league in assists too. Lastly the only knock in comparison to some others is all the minutes he plays and touches he gets. Well why complain about how durable a guy is??

Westbrook went on to achieve a triple double two years in a row. Truly remarkable and might not happen again. Does not look like he will do it this year
