They're crazy in South Africa they put a tire around a mans head an light it so the man burns alive.

Activists say South African authorities are tacitly approving attacks on the country’s white farmers, with one being murdered every five days, and the police turning a blind eye to the violence.
The white nationalist lobbying group AfriForum says that when lawmakers passed a motion last month which could see land being seized from farmers without compensation, it sent a message that landowners could be attacked with impunity.

It said there have been 109 recorded attacks so far in 2018 and 15 farm murders, meaning that this year, one white farmer has been killed every five days.

In a statement, Ian Cameron, AfriForum’s Head of Safety said: “Our rural areas are trapped in a crime war. Although the South African government denies that a violence crisis is staring rural areas in the face, the numbers prove that excessive violence plague these areas.”
Gabriel Stols, 35, told the Independent how his younger brother Kyle, 21, was shot dead by four people on a game reserve near Bloemfontein.
“What is happening to us is torture, it is slaughter, it is brutal, it is revenge. The world doesn’t know what is happening in South Africa,” he said.

Hannetjie Ludik, 56, from Pretoria, told the paper that three armed men broke into her family’s house, stole money and raped her.

South Africa’s president Cyril Ramaphosa said the government did not condone attacks or the the seizure of white-owned farms and insisted there would be no repeat of what happened in Zimbabwe a generation ago.

But AfriForum says that the parliament’s bill has led to a culture of revenge among those spoiling for a redistribution of land in a country where some 80% of people describe themselves as black African, but only 1.2% of that community own the country’s rural land.
The policy was proposed by the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Julius Malema who says redistributing land can correct historical injustices.

While there is broader political support for the move, a more measured approach is being called for by Kenneth Meshoe, the head of the African Christian Democratic Party, who told The Independent he believes in land distribution, although he says it should not be taken without compensation

“People like Malema who are promoting hate speech should not be allowed,” he added.

Thousands of people have signed a petition asking Donald Trump to let white people in South Africa to migrate to the U.S.

Meanwhile, Australian Home Affairs Minister, Peter Dutton, said he would push for his country to grant visas to white farmers, should they be displaced.

He provocatively said that such people could be helped from “a civilized country like ours”, sparking anger from South Africa’s Foreign Ministry which called for a retraction.

The fact-checking website, Africa Check, concluded in May 2017 that getting an accurate statistic on the country’s farm murder rate, which it estimated at 0.4 murders per 100,000 people, was “near impossible”.

Gareth Newham from South Africa’s Institute for Security Studies, told the Guardian there was no evidence white farmers were targeted any more than anyone else.

15 farm murders in about 3 months. That is not much different from the average murder rate in South Africa, could be explained by the remote locations of farms.

South Africa is not a safe place for anybody.

I agree its not safe for anyone, but pro capita its higher against white, looks like blacks turned the tables:

The last government analysis of farm attack victims by race was conducted in 2001. In their report, the police’s Crime Information Analysis Centre stated that of the 1,398 people attacked on farms, 61.6% were white, 33.3% were black, 4.4% were Asian and 0.7% were listed as “other”. Statistics of race are no longer collected.[3] In January 2015, AfriForum reported that there has been an increase in farm attacks and murders in the previous five years.[4]

White farmers have long complained they are at risk of rising violent crime and that they are ignored by the South African government.[5] In March 2010, the ruling African National Congress defended the apartheid-era song "Kill the Boer (depending on the context, white farmer or Afrikaner)" after a regional high court ruled it as hate speech, after it was sung by then ANC Youth League wing leader Julius Malema.[6] The ANC promised to stop singing the song in November 2012[7]

South African violent crime rates are absolutely off the charts and have been for decades. It makes anything in the US look minuscule.

Given the vastly higher rates of white land ownership, I'm not sure that the victims are disproportionately white.

Newsweek like Time or Huffington are left leaning media sources, so I don't see them alt right like you say.
Sure...but check the last two paragraphs of the Newsweek article you posted- they clearly state that they cannot confirm the accuracy of these reports:

These stories sound suspiciously like the white genocide crap that the Alt Right is constantly trying to promote.
No dude, africans believe they are entitled to farms. They want them out. They want the keys to their tractors and the keys to their homes. Why do you think Austailia is pushing for fast track visa's for them? Because it's made-up?
https://www.theguardian.com/austral...t-track-visas-for-white-south-african-farmers

But where is Trudeau? Where is his olive branch to help these guys? Nowhere to be found! Too busy trying to put gun laws into place that already exist lol.

Julius Malema
Racists must go to Australia – but should leave the keys to their equipment and property behind, said EFF leader Julius Malema during a Human Rights Day rally in Mpumalanga on Wednesday.
"A racist country like Australia says…'EFF wants to kill white farmers – they must come to Australia'," explained Malema to a roaring and red-clad crowd at the Mpumalanga Stadium."If they want to go, they must go."
However, he added: "They must leave the keys of the tractors because we want to work the land; they must leave the keys of the houses, because we want to live in those houses."

"They must leave everything that they did not come with to South Africa."
He said those who emigrated must "leave quietly" because those who stayed "are too busy".
"Don’t make a noise because you will irritate us."
He believed that those who went to Australia, would be poor there. "They are rich here because they are exploiting black people."

Aaah, the inevitable "It's all Trudeau's fault" moment! The new rallying cry of the TERB trumpies.

Why does Trudeau have a moral obligation to take in White Afrikaaner refugees and not Syrian Muslim refugees?. Because Canada's a "white heritage country"??

Given the higher genocide rate in Syria, shouldn't Trudeau accept Syrian refugees first?

Oh welcome back Oagre. Nice to see you can read my posts again. Cheers bud! I'm not blaming it on Trudy, although he could extend his warm Canadian hand to them like he did with the Syrian refugees, which we are taking in. No?

Why, Soupy?

Why are we responsible for the crime rate in South Africa?

In Syria, there's a civil war and ruined cities and a casualty rate in the 100's of thousands, if not millions. I'm not seeing that in South Africa. Surely, if you are going by the scale of world crisis, Syria gets our attention and not SA.

The truth about farm murders in South Africa

Nov 10, 2017

In Depth: protesters claim nation’s farmers are three times more likely to be killed than police

Thousands of white farmers took to the streets throughout South Africa last month to protest a spate of deadly attacks in rural communities.

South Africans call for apartheid flag ban
Protesters claim that farmers are much more likely to be murdered than the average South African - and that many of the brutal attacks are racially motivated.

There is a “popular narrative that the country’s white farming minority is under siege”, says the Mail and Guardian.

The high rate of murders on farms has been used by many “as evidence that South Africa’s white minority is facing victimisation, oppression, and possibly genocide”, the newspaper adds.

But what is the real story behind this highly politicised debate?

What do protesters say?

The so-called Black Monday demonstrations, on 30 October, were backed by AfriForum, a controversial lobby group that promotes the rights of South Africa’s Afrikaner population.

The organisation puts the farm murder rate at 156 per 100,000 people – more than four times the national average.

Speaking to protesters in Pretoria last week, the group’s head of community safety, Ian Cameron, also claimed that white farmers are three times more likely to be murdered than police officers in South Africa.

“Farmers have by far the most dangerous job of all people in this country at the moment,” he said. “We cannot allow this to continue the way it is.”

The Freedom Front Plus, a right-wing Afrikaans party, has long argued that farm killings “can justifiably be viewed as genocide” and has accused the police of suppressing official figures that show a “drastic increase” in farm attacks and murders.

What do others say?

The South African Institute of Race Relations says it “does not support the view that a politically inspired genocide of white farmers is under way”. CEO Frans Cronje warns that those who claim otherwise “risk being dismissed as a lunatic fringe” and distracting from “the very real plight” of farmers.

In a 2014 report on farm attacks, the South African Human Rights Commission said it was “concerned” that evidence submitted by AfriForum was “solely focused on farm owners and their families” and ignored the broader farming community, including black employees.

What are the facts?

“To calculate a farm murder rate, you need two numbers: the number of people who were murdered in farm attacks and the number of people who work on, live on or visit farms and smallholdings,” says independent fact-checking organisation Africa Check.

According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), there were 74 farm murders in 2016-17 - up by 28% from the previous year, and the highest number since 2010-11.

However, there is no breakdown by race, and it is unclear whether the victims were farmers, workers, family members or visitors.

What’s more, the police database on farm murders is a “live” system - meaning the statistics derived from it are subject to change if new information on cases emerges, Major-General Sally de Beer, head of communication at SAPS, told Africa Check earlier this year.

These statistics are “broadly in line” with figures collected by the Transvaal Agricultural Union, says BBC News. “But a rise in the number of farm murders doesn’t tell us anything about whether farmers are more at risk than average South African,” the website adds.

Because there are no official figures for the total number of people who work on, live on, or visit farms and smallholding, it is not possible to calculate the murder rate accurately.

It’s also unclear whether white farmers are more at risk than black farmers - or more at risk than the population at large, BBC News reports, because “we simply don’t know what proportion of people on South Africa’s farms is white”.

So who’s right?

The number of farm murders has increased in recent years, but there are no reliable statistics to back up claims that white farmers are more likely to be killed than either black farmers or the general population.

Funny thing is, Oagre has put me on ignore multiple times, then every once in awhile he takes me off to resort to childishness.

That's the best part of it all! lol

Soupy taps out.

Oagre wins.
Tapped out? That’s funny. It’s oagre who puts people on ignore when he can’t take the heat But it does show how utterly pathetic he is when he turns his ignore on and off to resort to childish antics and then runs back to the ignore button lol.

I can't take you seriously when you're not even mature enough to have a debate without resorting to such childishness.
Very common, when he gets a beat down, which is quite often.

Stay tuned for more of the same to follow, guaranteed.
