A meeting between Parkland students and anti-gun activists mobilizing for the highly anticipated March For Our Lives event in Washington, D.C. this weekend was captured on hidden audio Tuesday evening in Broward County, Florida.

The meeting, which was described as a non-partisan briefing for students, parents, and staff members from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School who are attending the #MarchForOurLives, was quickly exposed as being hijacked by Democratic Party top brass and fraught with extreme anti-conservative bias, misappropriation of school resources, and heavy-handed coaching for students when dealing with the media.

Here we part ways. These kids are the ones driving the movement.

They are at the forefront and the adults are assisting with logistics. Nothing wrong with that.

Its not indoctrination. That's a lie.

A opposed to the NRA paying millions to law makers?

And good for those teachers in supporting what the kids quite clearly are interested in. It seems like an extremely relevant lesson in civics, the right to peaceful protest, and how government works.

I love that the kids are at the forefront. however only one side is being allowed to be presented here. what David Hogg has done is admirable and he's a great young voice for the left. Kyle Kashuv represents the right and is being shut down and harassed at every opportunity. 60 minutes didn't invite him with the other kids. CNN canceled his appearance there etc and he seems to be the only one promoting bi partisanship and has met with senators and congressmen on both sides. most were willing to meet him except Bernie Sanders who didn't even reply to his email. Kyle also met with Potus, Flotus, VP Pence, Rubio, Pelosi, Schumer, McConnel ,Hatch and Ryan, DeVos and more. I'm sure you didn't see any of that on MSM

David Hogg became a darling of the left when he bragged about hanging up on the President, when Trump called to invite him to the Whitehouse to share his views

Not nearly as disgusting as setting anonymous spies on them and then posting unverified recordings that have been edited with no one's authority.

Spying on kids trying to do good in the world is as fucked up as videoing them in the bathroom. At least the OP could have had the honesty to say where and from who they dug up this crap.

I just can't fathom why we should care at all about the gun control views of teenagers. Most of them know virtually nothing of the reasons why the 2nd amendment exists, or what it means. A teenager may hold the potential for leadership, or the potential to find solutions to problems, but they don't possess the current ability to do so.

This entire drama is just an extension of the logical fallacy - "out of the mouths of babes.....". It's the irrational idea that anything that someone youthful (and presumptively innocent) says must be the unvarnished truth. Sorry, but that's just incorrect.

If there are adults in society who are taking their political direction from teenagers, I'd say that's a bigger problem than gun control. It might be evidence that mental health care is the main issue to address after all.

How about they are the ones being killed?

People said the same thing about the Vietnam war and the Draft.

They are human beings and citizens. With all of the 1st amendment rights as well. And unencumbered by political baggage and compromise.

I love their tactics against the NRA. They are hurting them. Lobbyists will never get my sympathy. Ones for gun manufacturers I will actively oppose as the death merchants they are.

I think everyone is aware that they are being killed, and everyone is opposed to that happening. No one has any trouble understanding the importance of keeping kids safe. Adults do not need children to remind them of these things.

Teenagers are free to speak and to organize. That doesn't mean that we should be taking political direction based on their views, any more than I'm likely to take advice on financial planning or parenting from a teenager.

The issue up for debate is HOW to keep people safe, while at the same time respecting the 2nd amendment and the purpose it serves. For that, the views of children add nothing to the debate.

Gun manufacturers may indeed be death merchants, but that is beside the point. US law recognizes that citizens can defend themselves with deadly force, or the threat of it, in some circumstances. It also recognizes the importance of the citizenry being able to form armed militia. Within that context, someone has to manufacture guns. It's up to the citizenry to ensure that public policy isn't made simply on the basis of what's better for gun sales. I'm not persuaded that, despite the financial support of manufacturers for the NRA, that gun sales are the justification being put forward for opposing certain gun control laws.

Agreed, but It won't last, it's not grassroots. They are using these kids as political props from the top, down. The one kid who's actually meeting with congressman, trying to find solutions, Kyle Kashuv gets zero media attention, but David 'attention' Hogg who blames the NRA for everthing certainly does. Kyle knows it, I know it, we all know it! Ya Ya, the kids, wink wink.

While aware, I don't think the NRA and their paymasters do care. Seriously I think they would prefer profit over lives.

They are no different then cigarette companies except for one thing. When the product they are selling is used correctly it's SOMEONE ELSE who dies.

As to present laws that is the point if the protests. To change not only the laws but the culture. It will take a while but I think it will happen.

I'm not as sure that a nation that was founded on distrusting central government (which is what the 2nd amendment is about) can ever forget its history.

Hogg is outstanding. Kid is right on track. And there is no compromise with the NRA. None. They didn't after Sandy Hook. 22 6 year olds killed and they sent trolls in to state it didn't happen.

They are the mouthpiece of death merchants. And the only way to do it is to take them head on and create an atmosphere where they can't hide in the shadows. Or the politicians who take their cash.

This is called projecting. You're projecting your anger of kids dying at the hands of a maniac onto the NRA who are a group of over 5 million+ (and steadily rising in membership) law abiding citizens.

You're looking for solutions, harden the schools, strengthen background checks and NOT insult millions of law abiding citizens.

Its not projecting. It's the truth.

YouTube has now banned all videos related to guns. No more promotion and reviews. Step by step instructions for modifications.

Its starting. I'm sure more will follow. The march is this Saturday. Another walkout day on April 19.

It will take time and a demographic change. But I think the scales are tipping now.

If you’re looking for someone to blame, you can start with the cowards of broward county who were given dozens of calls on this kid and then hid in a corner while kids were being used as target practice, AND the FBI for failing to do their job, once again! I hope the parents SUE their assess off!

Go nuts with the protests and rallies but law abiding gun owners which make up 120 million citizens who have done nothing wrong are going to push back.

What you are seeing is the tipping point of a social movement. And yes there will be Push back.

So what.

Gun owners are also changing their minds. Realizing that semi autos are as dangerous as fully auto. Semi auto needs to be banned from civilian hands. As well as handguns.

That's where this may well be heading. And it isn't laws that will do it. It's kids who look at their parents and say "as long as you have guns in the house my children won't be coming over anymore" . Neighbours who shun gun owners. Restrictions on advertising.

That's what's starting now.

I'm not seeing anything they haven't already done before. Marches, Marches, Marches. You should talk to the son of the security guard who shot the school shooter yesterday, he's proud of his father and love his 2A. I know you are under the impression that all kids are against the 2A and firearms, but they are NOT. Not in the slightest. You think they are because it's in your face. There's a whole other faction to this nobody is giving the time of day to. But that's not important as it doesn't fit the narrative.

Of course it isn't monolithic. And the kid should be proud. But ask the kids of the LE If they would prefer to be proud of their parent for shooting someone or not have to have their parent in that situation in the first place and see the answer.

You actually don't see the insanity of the need of armed officers in grade schools to protect students do you? Of promotion of a gun culture where they are considered a solution?

That is the fight. And it's starting to tip.

That shows you're missing the message and they need to try harder. These are children. The adults who are supposedly looking after their interests and safety have let them down. Mortally. And repeatedly.

It''s not for the children to say how to fix it, as you point out. It's for adults. People like you.

All the kids are saying is, "Enough talk, get the job done."

Not to put too fine a point on the importance of keeping your kids safe and focussed on the better things, who's to say the next Parklands or Newtown shooter won't go after the adults to give them a taste of what it feels like.
