That’s a bit of a pipe dream with the current “progressive” political climate in Canada. I suppose we can sell them windmills and solar panels instead of natural gas.

Reading the BBC this did occur. But the total is about 1.4 % of total gas importation for the nation so it's easily replaced by another provider.

I believe it was three ship loads to the north sea area.
