They will both hurt now with the recent announcement of Durham Live resort opening late 2019 in Pickering. No need to drive to Fallsview or Rama now if your in the GTA or surrounding areas. You'll have Casino Woodbine also.

More and more casinos are not a good thing. I know its your own responsible gaming but I know a lot of people with debt and problems due to gambling. It will just ruin more peoples lives.

Von are you saying that the slots at Falseview do not pay as well as other places. I am only an occasional gambler so I am not familiar with the terminology you used. Also is there a way to find out the percentage payouts.
Good question. I cannot find what the individual casinos in Ontario have their slot machines set at. The OLG sets the minimum rate of 85% theoretical payout for all slots in Ontario. Meaning if you sat there and pumped in $100 into the machine it should payout $85 back. The casinos can have the manufacturer set the theoretical payback percentage at anything 85% or higher when first installed in the casino. They can also ask the OLG for permission to change the payout % after the machine is installed. This is done by altering the EPROM chip in the machine and can only be done by a licensed technician under direct supervision of the OLG. So what are the actual payout percentages at Ontario casinos?...I cannot find this out.

In Vegas the percent of theoretical payback of the casinos as a location average, are as follows....

Off strip 92.07%
Downtown 91.66%
Strip 91.47%

Topless servers with only the most beautiful of breasts to bring in patrons ? None in Vegas but why ? SOs get jealous ? Women will not come as they play the slots which is huge profit for casinos ?

Law against it ?

I dislike casinos as you just lose at repetitive and boring games and poker takes a skill I do not have. But I would go to see beautiful swaying breasts. As they would not be strippers and would make huge $$$ in tips alone the waitresses would come and so would

Only the best breasts with some new ones every weekend.

Place would be packed, would it not?

Vegas is trying to be more family friendly to attract new customers. Don't think that would make much business sense

Vegas may have rules that all casinos must follow but could not a casino in Canada go topless?

1 you have to be legal age to enter a casino

2 it is legal to go topless

Why are there not topless bars in Toronto? Must be a bylaw, Would those same bylaws apply to a casino as it is not a restaurant or bar?

Topless servers with only the most beautiful of breasts should bring in gamblers. I would go and I dislike gambling. It seems moronic to gamble when you know you are gonna lose

Here in Windsor, we have had topless waitresses and barmaids on Wednesday and Sundays at Studio 4 strip joint and Saturdays at Tzers for several years now. Initially, the response was favourable, and the bars were quite busy, but after a couple of months, after the novelty wore off, it became ho hum and business reverted to pre-topless levels.

The plan for Woodbine is become much more upscale. The table games will be vegas style with high end dealers and pit bosses. The menus will be upgraded and drinks will be free for the first 3 months while you play.

This is what I found on the OLG website.

"WHAT'S THE PAYBACK PERCENTAGE?
Every slot machine arrives from the manufacturer with a computer chip capable of pre-determining how much of the overall player spend the machine will pay back to players over its lifetime. Machines are set by the casino, also known as the house, to payback a certain percentage of coins played, including paying out the jackpot
The pre-programmed amount that the house keeps is called the hold
The payback percentage, regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), is: Minimum: 85%

The payback percentage is meant to be representative of the machine’s entire lifecycle, which can be many millions of spins. When the payback percentage is 85%, this doesn’t mean that you can expect to win back $85 if you gamble $100 on that individual session.

The payback percentage doesn’t affect the short-term. Because of randomness, anything can happen when you play.

Compared to other casino games, slots favour the house more."

https://torontosun.com/technology/gaming/redlick-canada-dropped-the-ball-on-sports-betting

Article is a few months old. Casinos on the Canadian side of the border will definitely take a hit once single game sports books open on the American side of the border. The $ exchange rate isn't going to keep out gamblers. Win in USD, cash out in USD or lose. Heck, it doesn't stop cross border shoppers from going each weekend to buy things. Proline with a minimum of 3 games pays shit compared to offshore bookies and parlays are ridiculoulsly hard to hit. They need to get 1 right while you need to get 3. The ability to bet on single games legally in a casino is going to bring a lot of action.

Now onto other games,,,,

If fallsview casino for example has $25 minimum tables for BJ with an automatic shuffler and a hop over the border to a NY state casino has $25 BJ tables with a shoe r even a $10 minimum, I believe many would drive right past fallsview and play elsewhere. The casinos opening up in the Toronto area will take a bite out of niagara and Rama for sure. They had their moment.

I would think this could not only decrease the number of people from the GTA going to Rama, Fallsview, and Durham Live, but also Woodbine which is in Ford's home territory. I suppose it depends on how eager he is to gleefully force it on the "downtown elites" against their wishes, even if the other areas would also dislike losing business to it. I don't care one way or the other, although I assume it could involve having a year-round indoor entertainment facility as opposed to the outdoor, summer-only Budweiser Stage.

The 5000-seat theatre in Niagara Falls should be finished and open less than a year from now, presumably at about the same time Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment takes over as operator of it and the two NF casinos.

If you go to Senaca, get a player's card. When you convert to US give them your card. When you want to convert back at the end of the day they will do so at the same rate you exchanged before.
So apparently they do not this anymore, but can not confirm. My initial info was given to me by the cashier at Senaca when I was last there.

Casino Woodbine now has LIVE TABLES and has taken over the second and third floors of Woodbine Racetrack property with more to come.

Woodbine Mohawk Park is under development now with the plan to add 1000 more SLOTS and Live Tables by December. They are leasing the space that the Horse Racing side doesn't use anymore.
