Any wonder why that Russian model in jail in Thailand is reluctant to return to Russia.

According to British Police (Washington Post) Porton Down (The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory) has determined that a "state level" nerve agent was used.

I've heard speculation that this was farmed out by Russia to North Korea.

Bullshit. The KGB didn't do this.

They changed their name to the FSB years ago.

Oh and the CIA and MI6 don't assassinate people? The guy was a traitor. So many of the people whining about this also wanted Omar Khadr dead. People he betrayed ended up dead. If he had any honor he would have killed himself to keep his daughter safe.

As usual Putin lies about Russian involvement in this poisoning of an ex KGB agent and his daughter. Not surprising considering that he did the same about all the previous killings of ex KGB agents in the UK and the interference in elections in various countries including the USA.

Too bad the Brits won't let Putin personally supervise the investigation as he graciously did for the assassinations of his political opponents in Russia. Maybe he could prove that it was simply an allergic reaction to a women's perfume who was innocently walking by.

Putin usually blames the Chechens. Russians despise Chechens and Kadyrov can always be relied upon to produce some suspicious looking characters.

Prime Minister May let fly with both barrels in a Parliamentary Statement today.

"Either this was a direct act by the Russian State against our Country, or the Russian Government lost control of its potentially catastrophically damaging nerve agent and allowed it to get into the hands of others. This afternoon my Rt. Hon. Friend, the Foreign Secretary has summonsed the Russian ambassador to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and asked him to explain which of these two possibilities it is and therefore to account for how this Russian produced nerve agent could have been deployed in Sailsbury." The Russian Federation has been given until Midnight GMT on Wednesday to provide an answer.

Theresa May said that in conjunction with the EU, there will be sanctions imposed on the Russians if they do not respond to their allegations.

"Theresa May could have thrown the kitchen sink at Russia, expelling diplomats, toughening sanctions, and cracking down on oligarchs who keep their cash in London".
Wonder if she would shut down or seize the Russian owned Soccer team Chelsea FC?

Obviously, Trump will not support any such move by the UK and The EU.

As Prime Minister May stated before the House of Commons yesterday, the U.K. is a nation of laws. You don't seize private property merely because the owner is Russian. Further there is a good bit of evidence to suggest that although R.A. Abramovich was once close to V.V. Putin, that is no longer particularly true.

Indeed I suspect that the U.S. Government would go along with sanctions, if the President really wants a softly, softly approach to Russia, his choosing Mike Pompeo as Secretary of State Designate runs directly counter to that.

No longer true when Abramovich bought him a Pounds 25 million yacht in 2016? There is a lot of corruption and bribery by everyone involved with Putin.

Listen, Trump will never impose any sanctions on Putin. His actions will not compromise his own business / financial interests irrespective of who is there to advise him.
Tillerson's attack on Russia was probably the last straw as far as Trump in concerned. Trump always makes the final decision based on his impulse.

The Russians had nothing to do with it. Just ask the House Intelligence Committee and Devon Nunes.

Trump is being a bit quiet on this one because the Russian may have been a Steele source, they apparently knew each other.

Putin enemy found dead in London eight days after Skripal poisoning, as counter-terror police launch investigation

3 March 2018 • 5:03pm

Counter terrorism police have launched an investigation into the ‘unexplained’ death of a Russian business partner of Boris Berezovsky, Vladimir Putin’s arch enemy.

Nikolai Grushkov, 69, was found dead at his home in New Malden in south London on Monday evening.

Grushkov was the closest aide to Berezovsky who died in mysterious circumstances in 2013 at his home in Surrey. The death of Grushkov just eight days after the attempted assassination of Sergei Skripal, the Russian double agent who sold state secrets to MI6, will cause alarm although Scotland yard has insisted there is no evidence to suggest the two incidents are linked.

Friends of Berezovsky insist he was murdered on president Putin’s order.

The metropolitan Police said in a statement issued on Tuesday afternoon: “An investigation is underway following the death of a man in his 60s in Kingston borough.

“Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 10.46pm on Monday, 12 March to reports of a man found deceased at a residential address in Clarence Avenue, New Malden.

“Officers attended and next of kin have been informed. Whilst we believe we know the identity of the deceased, formal identification is yet to take place.

“A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.

“The death is currently being treated as an unexplained. If there is a change in the status of the investigation, an update will be provided.

“At this stage the Met Police Counter Terrorism Command is leading the investigation as a precaution because of associations that the man is believed to have had.

“There is no evidence to suggest a link to the incident in Salisbury.”
