Its the rules of the game, and he knew it, and he still betrayed his country possibly costing people their lives. I have no sympathy for him or anyone in that sick game.

Right.....this is about something that happened in the UK. You are harping on what the response that ONLY Trump has an obligation to pursue? Is that what you are saying?

Its an attack on a NATO partner. What is the response of our PM?

So far nothing.
Again you miss the point, that the sanctions are very specific by the US in targeting the organizations / individuals that were involved with the interference in the USA elections.
Now the sanctions etc. is supposed to hurt the offender. So, what do you want the Canadian Government to do that will hurt Putin and his comrades in Russia? Spell it out. Unless they have a co-ordinated effort by NATO and the EU nations, what Canada does or does not do matters very little to the Russians. Why is baby Scheer and the rest of the Conservatives not pushing for sanctions?

Oh how about expelling the same number of Russian diplomats that the Russians decide to expel British Diplomats. -- Freezing Russian Government or government controlled assets in Canada. Those are two things we can do.

Russians would do the same to the Canadian assets in Russia and will expel the same number of diplomats. What will that achieve and will the Russians be impacted negatively by it?
Suggest that to Baby Scheer, and ask him to bring it up in Parliament. Again, if there are proper trade sanctions by all of the EU and NATO countries then yes, that will make more sense.

Now would be an excellent time for the US to launch a cyber attack on the upcoming Russian elections. LOL. Of course Trump would not do it cuz he’s Putin’s bitch.

More like Trump would give the orders to hack into the opposition's computers, and then get Wikileaks to disclose them so that Putin wins even more handsomely.

The fact that they've done it before and continue to do so is exactly the problem.
You got to be Russian or know Russians very well to understand their actions. Betraying the motherland is one sin they do not forgive nor forget. We really don't have the equivalent. There's a lot of outrage on our side, but I guarantee that there will be not one tear shed in Russia. Actually, the assassination attempt will be met with almost universal approval. Brits overreacting will serve no purpose and it will only make Putin more popular.

The Russian psyche has a real desire for/love of "the man on the white horse." Hence the extreme contradiction of the Russian Revolution.

Thus far V.V. Putin is still providing a decent standard of living for Russians in the major cities, and he has built up the military, hence many Russians are willing to forgive his sins. There are signs of increasing problems but they are years from forcing Putin from power.

That is a pretty silly response. What if Russia decides to deny Canadian planes overflight rights? People like you just love to shoot at the hip without understanding the whole picture. You really wanna start a conflict based on power, with Russia? That is really short sighted. We can count on our American friends to defend us and our rights?

And you want to do all this because they are alleged to tried to kill a traitor in another country? WOW. What is your rational for thinking this is a good course of action?

But its ok for Israel to do the same thing?
So now its Israel, plus Trump being brought up in every fricken unrelated thread.

Getting rather tiresome.
