How is it politically incorrect for a person to wear something of her choice (don't want to debate the "choice" for Muslim women to dress conservatively - let's assume she has chosen it)?
If anything it's ironic/comedic. If you remove the information and ask people to guess, I'm sure most would have thought the opposite would have happened.

Agree. Simply two examples of women dressing according to their own values and beliefs. Iraq was a secular country under Saddam (ruled by a tyrannical dictator, but secular). Though their govt now is significantly influenced by Islamic clerics, many people dress in western styles, much like is increasing in present day Iran. There is a large Christian minority in Iraq, and various interpretations of Islam, not just the fundamentalist lunatics you hear about on tv.
I know people who've traveled to various parts of the Middle East. Definitely some uber-conservative places but also some places where people are dressed in Western clothes and skimpy bikinis are happily worn. I was in Egypt with a female family member and while there were plenty of women in garb, some were not and nobody gave my family member any grief for wearing shorts and t-shirts. Problem is when the radicals are elected into power and then it becomes very controlled.

What would make it funnier is if the Iraqi weathergirl was a stereotypical Swedish type (blond, blue-eyed, tall). That would be ironic!
Yes. There are way more temperature predictions on the Swedish forecast. They are definitely overcompensating.
