Instead of spending time criticizing a foreign leaders clothing / attire, this nation should learn how to plan to build their infrastructure so that their roads and highways are not the nightmare and 'beeping" mess it is at the moment:

One ordinary Canadian tweeter observing the Trudeaus’ ridiculous array of traditional Indian garb, wondered how Canadians would react if a foreign leader showed up here dressed as a Mountie.

Wow. So Trudeau is culturally insensitive in a nation tour. And your answer is.....insult them more.

Why not just call them a shithole?

What's next....an African tour where he dances around in a loincloth?

Face it. He thought he was "fitting in". And fucked it up. Meanwhile his staff royally fucked up with the dinner invitation.

And there is no defense for either.
Do not know what is the big deal about the clothing. India needs to address their infrastructure - a fact that the residents do acknowledge. Not called insulting them, so stop your nonsense.
Shithole is only referred to by your moronic cult leader called Trump. Did you hear me use that word to describe any nation?? That word is worse then insulting them, and is tantamount to grossly abusing them. When that word was spewed out of Trump's nostrils you obviously rushed to defend that moron.
The people who hosted Trudeau had absolutely no problem with his attire. But it was brave of him to wear that sort of clothing - maybe he will be asked to even appear in a Bollywood movie.
Yes, the staff screwed up the whole invitation, and that dude has taken responsibility for it. How did this individual actually get a visa to visit India?? The Indians should take responsibility for providing him with a visa if he is conceived to be a terrorist in that country. Why has the Justice System in Canada let this terrorist out of jail??

He was snubbed at the airport. Numerous media in India mocked him or chided him. I've seen a shitload of things in other international media discussing how embarrassing he was to Canada.

You are not going to be able to spin this. He fucked up. On every level.

He looked stupid. And the world as well as Canadian voters saw it.

LOL! Trudeau is a complete incompetent fool. I can only imagine that the rest of the federal liberals must be cringing at his antics and hoping that he resign so they can bring in someone with a brain. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised that the the liberals do an inside hatchet job like what happened to Brown.

Trudeau has done nothing since he came to power except look like an idiot, sound like an idiot and embarrass the country.

Bonokoski wrote up a nice summary of his recent trip to India:

There is a stupid spin in India that Canada are harbouring terrorists, and that is the reason for the snub.
No doubt any Canadian PM would get that sort of treatment from the present Modi Government that is intolerant of other religions. They themselves are being scrutinized for their growing intolerance of other non Hindu religious beliefs. Anyway what alternatives do the Canadians have? Baby Scheer........ really!!!

Two sides to every story, no wonder the criticism from supporters of Modi in India:

Unfortunately that's true, the RCMP badly botched the Air India investigation. There has been more Sikh violence in Canada than from any other ethnic group - including the Tamil Tigers. No Canadian PM has been officially greeted by a sitting Indian PM ever since. Trudeau should have been better briefed on what he had to look forward to. Let's not forget the Osgoode Hall shooting where two people were killed.

The Sikh Conspiracy trials were the defining moment of my working career, and that of my passenger Justice Charles Dubin. The OPP wanted to recruit me, I passed. I didn't want to leave Toronto for who knows where and I had no stomach for LE.

Recently I went to pay my respect to Chief Justice Dubin at his final resting place in Oak Ridges.

It’s more concerning that people who should know better (and are ultimately paid by us) thought any of this was a good idea. If Trudeau wanted a trip with the kids to wear a bunch of costumes - send him to the Olympics where he would get 10x the coverage at 1/2 the expense simply by wearing Canadian toques and mittens. You can’t have an inner circle of people who are afraid to tell the Emperor that he’s wearing no clothes.

Even more concerning is the fact that there is no legitimate opposition which would force the Govt to start acting like one.

Really!!! This is who represents us, I’ve always said Trudeau is an empty suit and an empty head. It’s one thing to behave like an idiot here at home, it’s another to make a jackass of himself on the world stage. It’s just sickening to watch his clownish antics and virtue signaling. The stupidity of this man and his handlers is unprecedented, WTF was he thinking with his dress up tour? What would his reaction be if Donald Trump stepped off his plane dressed in buckskins and feather headdress, and the next day in Inuit sealskins, and the next in a plaid lumber jacket?....you get the picture. 2019 can’t come soon enough, this moron should worry more about Canadians and Canadian jobs and leave playing dress up and make believe time for when he gets turfed from office.

Well, Trump in buckskin would at least mean he’s bothering to visit a country that was just recently surpassed by China as their largest trading partner. And it’s not like Canada is coming off a decade of having a well respected leader. I mean, Harper hiding in toilet during a G20, or locking himself in a toilet (Brazil) weren’t shining moments either. What Canada needs is good opposition, as well as a return to when Canadians made fun of ALL our leaders, not just the ones from the other side.

Oh please, with Harper you had a reasonable adult in the position, which Trudeau you have an immature man-child in the role who has done precious little. He’s a puppet of Gerald Butts, ever wonder why Trudeau wears an earpiece when he’s fluent in both French and English? It’s because he’s hasn’t an original idea in his head and Butts feeds him his lines. For a leader with so many balls in the air when it can mes to trade deals he doesn’t seem at all focused. Oh he went to India for a 1 billion dollar deal, 750 million of which was Brookfield properties purchase of a property there, hardly a blockbuster.

I don't think so. What kind of leader acts like this? It is so undignified. This trip to India accomplished little of value. It was basically a taxpayer-funded opportunity to get some photo-ops and curry favour with Indian voters back home.

I predict we will be seeing a lot more of those photos of him and his family. What a great gift to the Conservatives to use in their attack ads.

No doubt this guy is a joke at home and abroad. Our budgets won't balance themselves if he keeps going on these family vacations at tax payers expense.
I would really like to know what his travel bill is since he got the keys to the plane? Gotta be way more than the last PM's.

Between him and the goofball at Queens Park, this country and province will be bankrupt in no time.

I'm getting progressively more pissed off over this.

Forget trade deals, Trudeau's goal should have been to calm Indian fears that Canada supports Sikh terrorism - he failed miserably! In the end Prime Minister Modi proved to be the better man by giving him a warm welcome, when they finally met.
