Unfortunately that's true, the RCMP badly botched the Air India investigation. There has been more Sikh violence in Canada than from any other ethnic group - including the Tamil Tigers. It’s more concerning that people who should know better (and are ultimately paid by us) thought any of this was a good idea. If Trudeau wanted a trip with the kids to wear a bunch of costumes - send him to the Olympics where he would get 10x the coverage at 1/2 the expense simply by wearing Canadian toques and mittens. Well, Trump in buckskin would at least mean he’s bothering to visit a country that was just recently surpassed by China as their largest trading partner. And it’s not like Canada is coming off a decade of having a well respected leader. I don't think so. What kind of leader acts like this? It is so undignified. This trip to India accomplished little of value. It was basically a taxpayer-funded opportunity to get some photo-ops and curry favour with Indian voters back home.

Forget trade deals, Trudeau's goal should have been to calm Indian fears that Canada supports Sikh terrorism - he failed miserably! In the end Prime Minister Modi proved to be the better man by giving him a warm welcome, when they finally met.
