(LOS ANGELES) — Actor Scott Baio is denying a claim made by his former “Charles in Charge” co-star Nicole Eggert that something inappropriate happened between the two when she was a minor.

Eggert tweeted Saturday to ask Baio about what happened in his garage when she was a minor.

Baio responded in a 16-minute Facebook Live video saying that he is being falsely accused of inappropriately touching and having intercourse with her when she was a minor. Baio said he and Eggert had a consensual relationship after she was over the age of 18.

Reps for Baio and Eggert did not immediately respond to request for comment.

“Charles in Charge,” which aired from 1984 through 1990, was a sitcom about a college student who worked as a family’s live-in housekeeper.

I don't know when this happened but let's say it happened in 1990 - that's 27-28 years ago. Any other lady coming forward who's looking to set the record for the most time waiting before coming forward? Seriously, if this happened, WHAT TOOK HER SO LONG TO COME FORWARD?

Who knows. But I bet a lot of them have nothing better to do. Notice how most of the actresses coming out are washed up, or some behind the scenes admin person. Where's all the rich and famous actresses who are main attractions with all the good gigs and contracts outing all the directors and movie execs?

You don't see it because they know it's a dirty game of secrecy and they want to keep those good movie roles coming.

Scarlet Johansson is the perfect example. She gets on stage criticizing James Franco, but when someone mentioned Woody Allen she clammed up since he's offered her roles in 3 of his films. And since then, she's zipped it.

It's also skewed against men because most guys wouldn't report or care if a female did something similar back at them. So while a actress may call out an actor 20 years ago for flirting inappropriately, no guys are going to do the same back at them even if an actress did something foolish decades ago.

By the looks of what has happened, all these sexual assaults and accusations (except the guy who outed Kevin Spacey) are by women against men. Add it up and it's 100s of claims against men, while there's been 1 guy claiming foul too (against another guy).

However, I find it hard to believe there have been no women trying to take advantage of guys.

Does Buddy Lembeck have anything to say about the allegations?

Well, you've named the reason why the Golden Globes was BS - they hypocrisy of the people who pretend they support the MeToo and TimesUp campaigns but in reality are condoning, supporting, doing it themselves, or keeping silent. And to your point of some of the actors being out of the limelight, they've been that way for some time. When was the last time Nicole Eggert was in anything substantial. So what the hell was she waiting for?

I think there are definitely a few guys who had females or other males take advantage of them. I doubt the incidence rate is as high but for sure, it's happened. So I would really like to see some guys come forward and speak up.

He's welcoming it. It's harassment only if it's unwanted
And the only way to find out if a harassment is wanted or unwanted is to try it, is it not?? How else would you be able to find it out??

As a sexual assault victim/SURVIVOUR from the early 60's I can tell you most of us bare the shame guilt etc for years. It wasn't until 2002 that I came forward and had my abuser/rapist charged ,later convicted after all the media hype about Priests,ML Gardens a high profile case in my home town. Those on the outside do not cannot imagine what it is like.

He certainly seems quite forthright in his facebook video, and his wife (they married after the show was over) is very much sticking up for him.

Further over the intervening years Nicole Eggert has made some statements exculpatory towards Scott Baio and harmful to her own interests.

Nicole Eggert is fucked up in the head. Lost her beauty. Single mom of 2. Acting career done. Filed for bankruptcy in 2014. Likely looking for a payday. Claims Baio sexually abused her from age of 14 to 17. But in 2013 claims she lost her virginity to Baio at 17 because she wanted to be experienced for her current boyfriend at the time. Who in their right mind would want to lose their virginity to a guy who was supposedly abusing her since the age of 14. This #metoo movement is out of control. It's like the boy who cried wolf.

+1. I am not a psychologist nor have I been a victim so I don't know how they respond. But is it unreasonable to think that victims who respond like this seem to kill their own credibility?

In the case of Jian Ghomeshi, I believe one of the victims texted him the following day to say thanks for the date. Is it incorrect to think that doesn't make the most sense if the person assaulted you the day before? I can understand there are certain acts that take place that may make a person twinge a little and at the time it doesn't seem like assault. Perhaps a little while later they think back and realize there was something they weren't 100% comfortable with. But some of these things aren't traumatizing to the point that these women are unable to gather their thoughts and take some appropriate measures (telling someone, filing a complaint, telling the police, confronting the attacker).

Sorry about your personal situation and your experience. But I'm sure you'll agree that every situation is unique and some situations are less traumatizing than others so it's hard to understand why so many have waited so long. In the case of Nicole, again, I can understand her not saying anything right away when it happened for a number of reasons. But I also can't understand how it has taken so long. We have not been living in a total vacuum of a world where absolutely nothing has happened between now and say 6-8 months ago when MeToo gained momentum. There have been a large number of reported assaults and harassments over the years. So why has this movement suddenly given some the confidence to speak out? And why the delay? Couldn't she have said something months ago even? I would have expected a high number of stories to have come out pretty quickly when MeToo gained ground.

Scott Baio called Hillary Clinton a cunt and he's bragged on numerous occasions about his prowess with females. I suspect there's more than one woman who can accuse him of sexual abuse.

But he's a C-list celebrity - a scrub - most of the women he's probably abused don't want to come forward out of personal dignity.

I hated from his first appearance on Happy Days. His show was a Happy Days spin-off for money - not based on his talent. After falling to the bottom of the actor talent pit - e hung out at Hefner's masion fucking the playmates who remembered him as children watching his show. A right wingnut who like Trump hated the idea of a black president and got into trouble with disgusting tweets. Also noted for the typical white racist comment - 'hey, I have a friend who is black !'

I'm just disappointed he gets any press.
